My best NFL Week 5 moneyline bets

Bills (+120) vs. Rams ⭐⭐⭐

It's a treat getting a Josh Allen-led team at plus-money, even on the road against a fellow Super Bowl contender.

If anything, the fast turf of the Rams' SoFi Stadium field favors Buffalo's explosive offense. The Bills have the league's second-highest explosive play rate this season.

Allen has been a bit sloppy with the football lately, but turnovers are the only thing keeping the Bills from scoring 30 every game. L.A.'s defense is banged up and only has three takeaways; I like Allen's chances of outdueling Matthew Stafford and winning on the road.

Falcons (+114) vs. Ravens ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Who would have thought the Falcons could win their straight prime-time game after blowing out the Packers and Saints on the road in back-to-back weeks?

Now they return to Atlanta for a Sunday night matchup against a Ravens team that could be without Lamar Jackson. The former NFL MVP has a sprained ankle and reportedly could miss multiple games.

I don't see Baltimore keeping pace with a Falcons offense that is firing on all cylinders since Michael Penix Jr. returned. Atlanta ranks second in the NFL in rushing yards and yards per attempt.

Packers (+130) vs. Bears ⭐⭐⭐

This is the first time since 2024 that the Packers are home underdogs, because they have been nearly unbeatable in Wisconsin. Green Bay has a .741 winning percentage at home under Matt LaFleur.

Meanwhile, the Bears are 1-9 in their last 10 trips to Lambeau Field. And in that lone Chicago win, Jordan Love exited the game before halftime.

This is a tough place to play for any opponent, but especially for the Packers' arch rival. Green Bay's home crowd will be impactful and help the Packers make a statement at home.
