Drake Maye made another emphatic statement in the New England Patriots' dominant Week 17 win over the New York Jets to bolster his NFL MVP odds - making life all the more challenging for voters.

Maye barely needed two quarters to make another emphatic MVP statement, with the sophomore QB tossing five TDs and 256 yards while completing 19-of-21 passes and receiving a 156.5 passer rating before being withdrawn by head coach Mike Vrabel.
Attempting to absorb the fact that he threw three more touchdown passes than incompletions is more challenging than running a marathon after attending an all-you-can-eat buffet. Maye led his Patriots to a 42-3 advantage before kicking back on the sideline to watch the rest of the game.
He became the only QB in the last 40 years with a 90% or better completion percentage and five TD passes in the same game, and he only needed just over half of the game to accomplish the feat.
Maye's MVP odds improved to +200 at FanDuel, representing a 33.33% implied probability. Stafford, meanwhile, has -300 odds (75% probability) entering MNF against Atlanta.
Josh Allen is the +3500 outsider in this race, and his chances diminished further on the back of Maye's marvelous Week 17 performance.
