Not only do the Washington Commanders have the NFL’s second-worst pass defense in terms of yards allowed, but they’ve surrendered 22 passing touchdowns - tied with Dallas for second-most in the league. In the last four games alone, Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes, and Jared Goff have each tossed three TDs, with Sam Darnold going one better with four.

Yep, Washington has allowed 13 aerial scores in the last month. So somebody on the Dolphins is leaving Madrid with a TD reception, and my money is on Jaylen Waddle. The veteran wideout has a team-high five touchdown catches and has cashed his TD prop in two of the last three weeks.

By a hair, Caesars has the best odds on this Commanders vs. Dolphins touchdown scorer prop. The +101 odds imply a 49.75% win probability, with a successful $10 bet netting $10.10.

🔥 Chris Rodriguez Jr. (+180) ⭐⭐⭐

Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored two touchdowns in each of his first two NFL seasons with Washington. So with three scores in 2025, Rodriguez already has a new career high. Most importantly as it pertains to this Commanders vs. Dolphins touchdown scorer prediction, the 26-year-old running back collected his three TDs in the last four weeks.

The fact that each score came from inside the 5-yard line indicates that Rodriguez is now the Commanders’ goal-line bell cow. Admittedly, this Commanders vs. Dolphins anytime touchdown scorer prediction is a dice roll. Because while Miami running back De’Von Achane did score twice in last week’s upset of the Bills, he’s only turned the multiple-TD trick six times in 38 NFL games. However, Achane pulled it off in back-to-back weeks in 2023 - he had four scores in a 70-20 Week 3 wipeout of Denver, followed by two in Week 4 at Buffalo. Exactly two months later, he did it again in the Dolphins’ 45-15 blowout of, yep, Washington.

Achane has 10 scores this season (five rushing, five passing), and this week faces a defense that’s allowed 32 touchdowns. Only Dallas (33) and Cincinnati (33) have surrendered more. Also, in the last four games, three different opponents have scored twice against the Commanders.
