The Los Angeles Chargers survived a thriller in Atlanta last week, while the San Francisco 49ers continued their domination of the L.A. Rams before their bye week. Read on for our top Chargers vs. 49ers Week 10 predictions.

Neither the Chargers nor the 49ers have been as dominant as many expected them to be preseason. The Chargers are 5-3 overall, and have won four of their last five games. Despite their 3-1 road record, they've struggled to pick up victories, winning by a combined five points in their last two road matchups.

San Francisco lost two of three, though the 49ers did overpower the Rams their last time out. In that game, San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey looked like all he was advertised to be, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown. He also pulled in eight passes for 55 yards and one TD, and even threw for a score.

Here are our Chargers vs. 49ers NFL Week 10 picks (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and PointsBet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Chargers vs. 49ers Odds

Chargers vs. 49ers Analysis

The 49ers opened as just 3.5-point favorites, but with all of the Chargers' injuries and the 49ers getting healthy, the line has jumped significantly and currently sits at -7.5. The total dropped significantly from 47.5 to 45, but went gone back to 45.5 at every major sportsbook except DraftKings.

Chargers vs. 49ers Picks

49ers W10

Chargers vs. 49ers ATS Pick

49ers -7.5 (-110) ★★★

The Chargers are 5-3 against the spread this season, but four of those covers came in their first five games. In each of their last two covers, they only managed to beat the number by a half-point.

The 49ers haven’t been much better against the spread, but in McCaffrey’s first full game with the playbook, they looked like a different team offensively. As one-point underdogs, they won by 17.

But the real difference in this one comes down to the injury report. The 49ers get both wide receiver Deebo Samuel and RB Elijah Mitchell back, while the Chargers are still without wideouts Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will still find a way to score some points, but not enough to cover.

Chargers vs. 49ers O/U Pick

Over 45.5 (-110) ★★★

The Over was 0-4 in the 49ers' first four games, but it hit in three of their last four. San Francisco's defense is among the league’s best, allowing just 18.4 points per game. Offensively, the Niners average 22.0 PPG, but just 27.0 per since McCaffrey joined the team.

The Chargers have the NFL's third-worst scoring defense. They give up 25.8 PPG, and the 49ers can take total advantage of that with their revamped offense.

The Chargers are without their two best receivers, but still have RB Austin Ekeler and WR Josh Palmer. The two of them will help Los Angeles score enough to push this Over.

Chargers vs. 49ers Prop Pick

Palmer Over 50.5 receiving yards (-120) ★★★★

We’re avoiding any 49ers player props because their offense simply has too many options. This is the first week McCaffrey and Samuel are on the field together. What their playing combination means for the run and pass scheme and for other weapons is unknown.

Instead, we’re looking at the Chargers, and we love Palmer to have a huge game with both Williams and Allen. He's been Herbert’s go-to weapon in the last two weeks, with 22 total targets and 17 receptions.

Palmer should have no problem hauling in five or six balls, but the value simply isn’t there for his reception line. Currently, the best odds are at DraftKings, where Over 4.5 receptions is listed as -155. Go with his receiving yards Over. Last week, he had 106 yards while the game before he had 57. Right now, his line is fluctuating a bit at major sportsbooks. Look for the best number with the best value and take him all the way up to 60.
