One of our best sports betting sites offers NFL rookie bets to make now. DraftKings lists a bunch of bets focusing on the top draft picks from the 2025 draft.

Four futures props with higher probabilities and palatable odds featuring Cameron Ward, Travis Hunter, Tetairoa McMillan, and Ashton Jeanty caught my eye as we continue sourcing the best picks in the lead-up to the 2025 NFL season.

Ward's projections via ESPN are a bit ambitious, with the No. 1 draft pick expected to amass more passing yards than Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Bo Nix managed in their rookie seasons.

ESPN is setting his passing yardage total at 3,818, which equates to just over 225 yards per game, based on a full 17-game schedule.

While lots can go wrong in a signal-caller's rookie season (just ask J.J. McCarthy), Ward will be the lead act in Tennessee, reinforced with news that Will Levis is out for the season after surgery on an injured shoulder.

His lofty 3,818-yard projection provides an 818-yard buffer, and I have no qualms with Ward at least equaling Williams' rookie total (3,541), which was the lowest of those top three aforementioned rookie passers last year.

🐆 Travis Hunter 700+ receiving yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: -130 via DraftKings
🔢 Implied probability: 56.52%

Trevor Lawrence has been waiting for a receiver like Travis Hunter to come along. The embattled quarterback tossed just 11 touchdown passes in 10 games last season - a far cry from his career best of 25 set two years ago.

While the jury is still out on whether Hunter can manage to lock down an integral role in the offense and defense at the top level, I expect new head coach Liam Coen to provide the No. 2 draft pick with more wide receiver reps to start. I discussed that scenario in our early Week 1 player props projections.

The Offensive Rookie of the Year odds contender is set for a 967-yard rookie campaign, according to ESPN. Like Ward's projections, that total is more ambitious than a 10-year-old's plans to start university at 15. Then again, Hunter possesses exceptional speed and is a beacon of fitness.

With Lawrence poised to make things right this season and Hunter's expected prominent offensive role, I'm all in on the Over at this total.

🐈‍⬛ Tetairoa McMillan 5+ receiving TDs ⭐⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: -150 via DraftKings
🔢 Implied probability: 60%

The No. 8 draft pick is a towering figure, standing at 6-foot-4 and 219 pounds. McMillan handled a 34% target share and draft-class high 52% air-yard share last year at Arizona.

Now, he's entering a lineup in which he should receive plenty of opportunities to shine in his first season. The Panthers' receiver room isn't exactly star-studded, and McMillan should fit in on the depth chart just behind Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette. With his reach, stature, and ample projected playing time, I'm taking the Over.

Plus, if Bryce Young can continue where he left off last season, this prop is worth every cent of the steep asking price.

☠️ Ashton Jeanty 1,100+ rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: +115 via DraftKings
🔢 Implied probability: 46.51%

Jeanty is forecasted to produce a mammoth rookie season, and there's ample justification to support that projection. The Raiders will want to establish a ground game to provide Geno Smith with enough time in the pocket to attack downfield.

While Raheem Mostert will offer a nice complementary piece, Jeanty will no doubt own the Raiders' backfield. Touted as one of the most NFL-ready players in the draft, the sixth overall pick is ready to hit the ground running.

ESPN projects him to rush for 1,289 yards. Bucky Irving was last season's top rookie running back, and he eclipsed the 1,100-yard barrier while finishing with 1,122. That happened despite four performances with 24 yards or fewer.
