As the NCAA Tournament approaches (Selection Sunday is March 15), it's becoming increasingly clear that the Wooden Award odds race is effectively over.
Even after losing to North Carolina, Duke's Cameron Boozer is a -1000 favorite to win the Wooden Award. The son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer leads a historically dominant freshman class in college basketball.
Among those freshman are BYU's AJ Dybantsa (+3000) who has slid behind Iowa State's Joshua Jefferson (+2500) on the board. The only other players with shorter than +4000 odds are Purdue's Braden Smith, Texas Tech's JT Toppin, and Houston's Kingston Flemings.
