On the surface, the 14.5-point spread might seem like a lot based on KenPom’s projection of an 82-72 victory for Gonzaga. However, that does not account for the loss of San Francisco’s Marcus Williams, who is withheld due to eligibility concerns.

According to EvanMiya’s analytical website, Williams is the team’s best player, with a Bayesian Performance Rating (BPR) 4.07. His model projects a 17-point margin in favor of the Bulldogs.

Gonzaga rolled to a 20-point victory when these two teams met on March 1, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar showing in Las Vegas.
