The UCLA Bruins face the LSU Tigers in Saturday's Sweet 16 on the women's side of the NCAA Tournament as we offer our LSU vs. UCLA picks and best bet based on the best Women's March Madness odds.

The 2024 Women's NCAA Tournament has just four games remaining in Sweet 16. The action gets underway on Saturday with the No. 3 LSU Tigers (30-5) squaring off with the No. 2 UCLA Bruins (27-6) at MVP Arena in Albany, N.Y. at 1 p.m. ET (ABC).

The defending champion Tigers are the betting favorite across our best sports betting sites, but they won't have it easy against UCLA. LSU breezed past Middle Tennessee in the second round, 83-56, while UCLA had a more tightly contested affair, squeaking past Creighton 67-63 in the Round of 32.

The Bruins are 25-5 when they score more than 62 points, and they average a comfortable 77.6 points on the season; the Tigers score 86.1 per game and are an impressive 30-5 when draining more than 61 points.

This profiles as one of the best matchups of the entire tournament, and I'm not sure why our best sportsbooks project such a gap between these two teams.

Sure, LSU boasts a star-studded roster with six players averaging in double figures, with Angel Reese leading the way inside (18.7 points per game) and Flau'jae Johnson (14.4) on the perimeter. But UCLA features a matchup nightmare in Lauren Betts (14.9), the No. 1 overall recruit in 2022 who has been a machine in this tournament thus far.

She'll be key for the Bruins' ability to hang on the glass with LSU, one of the country's best rebounding teams. But UCLA is a quality rebounding squad too while boasting five players averaging more than five boards per game. Two of those players - potential first-round picks Charisma Osborne and Kiki Rice - average at least five assists as well for the No. 2 seed in the Albany 2 Region.

If you get past the headlines and the results from 2022-23, there's a strong case to be made that UCLA is the more talented all-around team. LSU vs. UCLA spread & Over/Under analysis

LSU is the favorite, and the line ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 points across our best live betting sites. That's surely a nod to this team's tournament experience and season-long standing as a title contender. However, in this matchup it feels like too many points to lay against a UCLA squad with comparable depth and roster talent.

The total is trading anywhere from 144.5 to 145.5 for two teams with elite offensive attacks, especially inside.
