College Basketball Predictions & Best Bets Today: ATS Picks and Prop Bets (Sunday, Feb. 15)

Following a day when top-ranked teams held serve, my college basketball predictions and best bets today back another favorite in a revenge spot and an Over in a high-profile mid-major clash.

I also add two college basketball player props to those plays, including taking one of the hottest 3-point shooters in the country to continue his sizzling stretch.

Siena vs. Marist prediction: Marist -1.5 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

I'm riding with Marist at home in a revenge spot against Siena after the Red Foxes suffered a 19-point loss to the Saints on the road last month. 

The Red Foxes scored just 14 points in the second half, and the 8.4 feet of average distance on their 2-point attempts was one of the longest in MAAC play all year. Better shot selection and more of an emphasis on getting to the rim should make all the difference in this rematch.

Siena is coming off two straight league losses for the first time, while MAAC home teams have won 61% of their games. 

Belmont vs. Murray State prediction: Over 168.5 (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

These top two teams from the Missouri Valley Conference combined for 189 points just two weeks ago, and that was with Murray State shooting just 26.1% from 3-point range. That's atypical of the Racers, who have made 98 more 3-pointers than their opponents, which was he fifth-highest difference entering the weekend.

Meanwhile, Belmont should continue to use the best frontcourt of any mid-major school to again bludgeon the smaller Racers. The multiple weapons inside are a big reason Belmont ranks in the top five in both 2-point and 3-point shooting percentage.

⛹️ College basketball player props today

Tucker DeVries Under 11.5 points (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Point guards have been torching Illinois in two straight games. Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears dropped 26 points and dished out 15 assists, while Wisconsin’s Nicholas Boyd added 25 on 10-of-19 shooting. But the Fighting Illini could get their best perimeter defender in Kylan Boswell back from a seven-game absence, which should lower DeVries’ ceiling.

DeVries has deferred to fellow backcourt mate Lamar Wilkerson lately. Wilkerson has scored 24-plus in five of six games, and he should be Indiana’s best perimeter option due to a lack of frontcourt players able to pull Zvonimir Ivisic away from the basket.

Roberts Blums Over 2.5 3-pointers made (-105 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Davidson should own a distinct advantage from the 3-point line in this A-10 matchup. The Wildcats rank in the top 30 among D-I teams while posting a 37.3% shooting percentage from beyond the arc, while Dayton allows the 295th-highest 3-point percentage (35.9%).

Roberts Blums has been Davidson’s best perimeter shooter recently, making four-plus threes in four of the last five games. He's shooting over 43% beyond the arc this season, and Blums ranks fifth in league play with a 45.7% 3-point shooting percentage.
