It's another week of madness in college basketball with several top-25 teams already losing on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday will once again be an evening full of action with eight ranked teams hitting the hardwood.
The biggest game on the slate, No. 15 St. John's vs. No. 6 UConn, leads off my college basketball predictions today, which also include a pair of player props focused on SEC stars and a pick for the biggest mid-major matchup on the schedule.

St. John's vs. UConn prediction: UConn -4.5 (-120) vs. St. John's
As UConn pushes for a No. 1 seed, the Huskies need to get revenge on St. John's. But this time around, Dan Hurley's team is at home, and the Red Storm have struggled against ranked opponents outside New York, going 0-2 ATS.
While Rick Pitino's team is riding a 13-game winning streak, only one of those games came against a team ranked in the top 25 by KenPom (UConn), and that was at Madison Square Garden.
The Huskies have the best defense in the Big East, and a lethal guard combo in Braylon Mullins and Silas Demary Jr.

Florida vs. Texas prediction: Thomas Haugh Over 1.5 made 3-pointers (+122) at Texas
The defending champions have bounced back from a rough start, behind the play of a dominant frontcourt. Leading the charge in carrying Florida up the March Madness odds has been Thomas Haugh - he's one of two forwards in the SEC averaging over 17 PPG and more than 1.5 made 3-pointers.
His ability to be a threat from behind the arc as a 6-foot-9 forward is an X-factor, with Haugh hitting two threes per game on 35.9% shooting in SEC play.
Texas is sitting outside the top 100 in adjusted defensive efficiency and allowing conference opponents to shoot 36.6% from deep.
Texas A&M vs. Arkansas prediction: Darius Acuff Jr. Over 24.5 points (+100) vs. Texas A&M
One of just six players in the Wooden Award odds race that's shorter than +15000, Darius Acuff Jr. has erupted over the last few weeks. The freshman is now the likely SEC Player of the Year, with him averaging 25.4 PPG in conference play.
While Acuff's 50-minute, 49-point performance against Alabama has made him a household name, he's not just a one-game wonder. The heart and soul of John Calipari's team has gone for 25-plus in three of his last four games.
Texas A&M's up-tempo pace should lead to plenty of possessions for the Razorbacks' star.
Utah State vs. San Diego State prediction: Utah State ML (-105) at San Diego State
It's a heavyweight mid-major matchup in the Mountain West, with the winner taking the No. 1 spot in the conference. While San Diego State has historically been at the top of the mountain, it's Utah State's year ... the Aggies are one of two mid-majors ranked top 40 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency.
Jerrod Calhoun's team is 23-4, leads Mountain West play in PPG (82.8), and has the scariest guard combo in the conference (MJ Collins, Mason Falslev).
Meanwhile, SDSU is riding a two-game losing streak and has lost four of its last eight, with its defense showing cracks.

Despite there only being one top-25 matchup tonight in college basketball, the Wednesday slate rarely disappoints with so many games. Obviously, the Big East battle is the best game on the schedule, so I've got a full unit on the Huskies to cover, and I'd take them up to -5.5.
Outside of that must-watch bar fight, the SEC doubleheader on ESPN2 (Florida vs. Texas, Texas A&M vs. Arkansas) features two entertaining games with top-25 programs taking on bubble teams. And they feature two of the most electric offensive players in the conference - I'd take Haugh to hit Over 1.5 threes at any plus-money number and Acuff to hit his Over at anything better than -115.
Finally, I always like to target the best mid-major game to watch, and it's clearly Utah State vs. San Diego State. The winner will be atop the Mountain West standings, and it pits the conference's best offense against its best defense.
