The Los Angeles Lakers might be up 3-1, but the Golden State Warriors are expected to take care of business during Wednesday's Game 5. Read on for our Lakers-Warriors pick based on the best NBA odds.

The Los Angeles Lakers hold a 3-1 lead on the defending champs after a thrilling Game 4 victory. But this series is starting to feel a lot like the opening round, when the Memphis Grizzlies thumped the Lakers in Game 5 before Los Angeles came back to finish the job at home in Game 6.

The Golden State Warriors are favored to avoid elimination at home in Game 5, but the spread has probably moved too far in their direction at this point. That's why we're locked in on a 3-point prop for this game.

Andrew Wiggins Over 1.5 3-pointers (-130 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite the loss, the Warriors found something in Game 4 that can be leaned on even further. With a smaller lineup, Golden State started using Anthony Davis' man on pick-and-rolls to pull him away from the rim. That led to plenty of layups against the Lakers, particularly in the first half.

The Lakers' adjustment was putting Davis on Wiggins, but the Warriors rarely used him as a screener in the second half. In fact, Golden State only ran that pick-and-roll set eight times over the final two quarters.

I'm guessing the Warriors will go back to that look a lot in Game 5, which means Wiggins will be near the action. He should get opportunities in the short roll, but don't be surprised if he pops out to the 3-point line from time to time.

Either way, the Lakers are clearly comfortable with letting Wiggins shoot at this point. Wiggins has knocked down multiple shots from distance in three consecutive games, averaging 1.8 3-pointers on 4.8 attempts per contest during this series. And a lot of those looks have been pretty open.

Wiggins has drilled multiple attempts from deep in six of his last 11 playoff games, posting a hit rate of 48% over the previous two postseasons. That jumps to 53% in the playoffs over the last two seasons.

He's connected on multiple 3-pointers during 67% of his home games for the Warriors in 2022-23. And generally, the team seems to perform better when playing inside the Chase Center.

Golden State will likely overwhelm Los Angeles now that the series has returned to the Bay Area, and we're betting on Wiggins to get enough clean looks from deep to cash this Over.

The Warriors opened as 5-point favorites, but the line is now up to 7.5 at our best NBA betting sites. The market has moved too much, but bettors are unlikely to be burned with the way the NBA Playoffs are operating. The winner of the game has typically been covering the spread this postseason.

As for the total, this line has dropped down to 225 after opening at 226 via the best sports betting sites.
