Can the Los Angeles Lakers eliminate the defending NBA champions on Wednesday? Sportsbook Review betting analyst Jon Metler shares his top NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday's NBA playoff schedule using the best NBA odds.

Lonnie Walker gave us an unforgettable performance on Monday during Game 4 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors. While Walker draws all the attention, there's another Laker who also had a solid performance whom we have our eye on.

Although the media might overlook this Laker, the betting market will not do so, at least not for the entire day. In other words, this is a bet where you will have to act quickly to get the best number.

Wednesday’s NBA player prop picks

Player prop: Austin Reaves Over 13.5 points vs. Warriors (-106 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Game 4 was the Lonnie Walker game, but despite all the hype surrounding Walker, the fact that the Lakers received 21 points from Reaves went largely unnoticed. Additionally, it's worth noting that Walker didn't replace Reaves in the lineup; rather, it was D'Angelo Russell's minutes that were affected. Reaves was on the court during crucial moments, which speaks volumes about how much coach Darvin Ham trusts him.

Reaves is projected to score 14.9 points against the Warriors on Wednesday, which allows us to price the Over 13.5 points at -125. While this bet may appear to offer only a small edge in cents, it actually represents a positive expected value of 8%.

However, it should be noted that this edge in Reaves pricing is not available at every sportsbook. Both BetMGM and DraftKings are trading the Over at -130, which is even shorter than our price of -125. To take advantage of this edge, one must shop at BetRivers (-106) or even FanDuel, which keeps adjusting its price between -104 and -113.

Player prop: Dennis Schroder Over 2.5 assists vs. Warriors (-127 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Upon watching the Game 4 film, it’s evident that Dennis Schroder was causing problems for the Warriors on defense and this is supported by the numbers. Schroder had the highest plus-minus of any player on the Lakers' roster with a plus-14. Although Schroder comes off the bench, he played the third-most minutes at 34, only behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis, which is a positive sign for the Lakers guard.

Schroder is projected to have 3.3 assists against the Warriors on Wednesday, and this allows us to price the Over 2.5 assists at -170. Although the juice at -127 may seem high, it's not high enough, and this bet has a positive expected value of 13%.

If the -127 at BetRivers disappears, you can still bet the Over at -130 on PointsBet and bet365, which is worth attacking if you miss out on the -127. It's best not to wait until tipoff to place your bet as the price should steam towards the Over at all of the best NBA betting sites, with Pinnacle trading the Over 2.5 assists at -156.
