NBA Sixth Man of the Year Odds 2025-26: Hunter Favored Over Reid, Beal
Last Updated: September 16, 2025 1:52 PM EDT • 5 minute read X Social Google News Link
Cleveland Cavaliers forward De'Andre Hunter leads the NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds entering the 2025-26 season, his first full campaign with the Eastern Conference contenders.
His +800 odds rank ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves' Naz Reid (+1200) and Los Angeles Clippers' Bradley Beal (+1500). Meanwhile, reigning Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard is down at No. 7 on the board at +2200 odds.
But I'm targeting a different veteran who already has a Sixth Man of the Year trophy in his closet as part of our NBA picks.

🏆 NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds favorite
🗡️ De'Andre Hunter, Cavaliers (+800)
De'Andre Hunter already proved he was a great fit with the Cleveland Cavaliers when they acquired him from the Atlanta Hawks midseason last year. He shot a career-best 48.5% from the field and 42.6% from 3-point range while averaging 14.3 points in 27 games after joining Cleveland.
Now Hunter just has to replicate that performance over an entire season to prove he's the league's best sixth man. Perhaps the most significant factor working against Hunter is he'll have to battle for minutes among a talented Cavaliers front court.
He'll have to contend with Evan Mobley, Max Strus, and Dean Wade for both minutes and shots. However, given how efficient Hunter was as a shooter for the Cavs last season, he should have a sizeable role with the team off the bench.
At +800 odds, a $10 bet on Hunter would net $80 in profit with an implied probability of 11.11%, according to our odds calculator.
👀 My NBA Sixth Man of the Year prediction & best bet
🗽 Jordan Clarkson, Knicks (+2000)
Jordan Clarkson joined the New York Knicks this summer after five-plus seasons with the Utah Jazz. He previously won this award in Utah in 2021, and I like his +2000 odds to win his second career Sixth Man of the Year trophy this season.
New York brought in Clarkson to improve its bench scoring after ranking dead last with just 21.7 points per game from its second unit last season. Part of that was due to former Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau's tendency - to a fault - to lean on his starting unit with heavy minutes.
But clearly that's an area the Knicks are looking to improve, so Clarkson should get plenty of minutes and opportunities with the ball in his hands. He's one of the NBA's most consistent bench scorers, as he hasn't averaged less than 15 points per game since the 2019-20 season.
The New York spotlight certainly won't hurt his chances, either, and he'll feature in plenty of nationally-televised games for a Knicks team that is an NBA championship odds contender.
Clarkson's +2000 odds translate to a 4.76% implied probability, while a successful $10 bet would net a $200 profit.
