Our NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday based on the best NBA odds try to make sense of what the Detroit Pistons will look like without Cade Cunningham against the Sacramento Kings.

Tuesday's NBA action features a five-game slate with an interesting showdown between the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons to kick things off. Although the game may not be closely contested, the intrigue lies in how bettors will assess a Pistons squad without Cade Cunningham for at least a few games due to a knee injury.

With Cunningham's usage out of the picture, how should we bet on the Pistons' backcourt in a high-tempo home game?

To go along with our Grizzlies vs. Mavericks player props, here are our NBA player props and best bets for Tuesday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday’s NBA player props

Jaden Ivey Over 2.5 turnovers (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The market clearly wants to attack Jaden Ivey's player props with Cunningham sidelined. His assist prop has been steamed to -149 at Pinnacle, which is why we wouldn't mind taking the -135 bargain on Over 4.5 assists at BetMGM. His points + assists combo prop has been pushed up from 19.5 to 21.5 across our best sports betting sites, though it's worth noting this game has blowout potential.

While those initial angles make total sense, we are going to get a bit negative here and focus on Ivey's turnovers prop instead. Ivey, a second-year point guard out of Purdue, has struggled taking care of the rock with or without Cunningham, posting a career average of 2.9 turnovers per contest.

According to StatMuse, Ivey is averaging 3.4 turnovers per game across 63 contests without Cunningham. He has cleared this turnover mark in nine straight contests without Cunningham, in which all of those matchups took place last year.

We saw a glimpse of Ivey's new usage in the second half of the last game, when he finished with his second consecutive four-turnover performance. Because both of these teams rank in the top-11 in pace, we are expecting plenty of possessions and more chances for Ivey to make a few mistakes.

At -130 or better, we like the idea of betting on three-plus turnovers for Ivey. This Over is priced as much as -140 at a shop like bet365. We are getting a solid discount by placing this bet at DraftKings.
