Cameron Johnson Over 11.5 points (-115) (vs.) Timberwolves
It's in the Denver Nuggets' best interest to maintain Cameron Johnson's recent momentum. Their championship aspirations might very well come down to his ability to hit a shot in a key moment.
Over the last 15 games, Johnson is averaging 15.2 points on 9.7 field goal attempts per contest. He's cleared this scoring line 13 times over that span.
If you removed Johnson's first 11 games of the season after his initial adjustment to the Nuggets, he's averaged 13.5 points per contest. His hit rate on this scoring line is 62.8% over his final 43 contests.

Amen Thompson Over 25.5 points + rebounds (-120) (at) Lakers
Houston Rockets guard Amen Thompson is set up for a big series against the Los Angeles Lakers, who don't have the personnel to match his athleticism.
In three regular-season matchups against the Lakers, Thompson averaged 23.7 points and 10 rebounds in 38.3 minutes per contest. His usage rate climbed to 23.2% while attempting 17 field goal attempts per game. All marks were a noticeable increase from his season averages.
Given that this prop is listed at 26.5 in the market, I like the value that's available at bet365.
Anthony Edwards Over 5.5 rebounds (+120) (at) Nuggets
One thing to keep in mind when betting on NBA player props in the postseason is that certain players rise to the occasion. Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is one of those players.
Edwards really picks up his intensity on the defensive end and on the glass in the playoffs. Edwards is averaging eight rebounds in 21 career playoff games, clearing this line 17 times over that span. For comparison, Edwards averaged five boards per contest this past regular season.
Against the Nuggets, however, Edwards always delivered. He grabbed 17 boards in three regular-season meetings. I'll take the +120 price tag on this Over, especially when the same ticket is listed at -104 at Caesars.

It's important to remember that betting on NBA player props is very different in the playoffs than in the regular season. Rotations get tighter, adjustments are made by coaching staffs, and star players deliver in different ways.
Whether you ride with my picks or not, I've considered all these factors when putting together Saturday's card. Edwards has a history of stepping up in the playoffs, while Thompson is set up for success in a favorable matchup. Johnson is one of the key role players this postseason.
Regardless of how it all shakes out, I'll be interested to see how the market adjusts following all these Game 1s.
