Momentum swings were a crucial part of Saturday's Game 1 between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks. The 76ers jumped out to an early lead, but the Knicks mounted a comeback before allowing Philly to retake the lead in the third quarter. The Knicks ultimately secured the win down the stretch. Pouring salt in the 76ers' wound was Joel Embiid's injury scare as he appeared to re-aggravate his knee in the first half.

Embiid toughed it out and played the remainder of the game, although it was evident he wasn't at full strength. The Sixers' bench struggled, being outscored 42-7.

76ers vs. Knicks prop bet predictions for Monday

Josh Hart Over 11.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hart averaged a career-high 8.3 boards this season and turned things up after the All-Star break. He closed the season out averaging 10.9 boards across his final 27 appearances, hitting the Over 12 times. Hart has hit the Over in three of his last five overall, including Saturday’s Game 1 victory, where he grabbed 13.

Philadelphia allowed the eighth-most rebounds to opponents this season and the sixth-most over their last three. Joel Embiid is not playing at 100%, and Hart should be able to take advantage in the paint. Including Monday’s win, he secured at least 12 rebounds in four of five matchups with Philly this season and averaged 14 rebounds.

Joel Embiid Under 45.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Embiid posted 43 points + rebounds + assists (PRAs) in Game 1 and 43 in his only regular-season matchup with the Knicks. After returning from a lengthy absence, Embiid played five games to close out the regular season, and he hit his PRA Over only twice. 

Embiid’s playoff struggles are nothing new, as he’s shot below 50% in each of his last eight postseason appearances. He’s hit the Over on this line just four times in his last 20 playoff games dating back to 2022. The big man re-aggravated his knee injury after a dunk in Game 1, and it looked to be bothering him when he returned to the game. Mitchell Robinson Over 1.5 blocks ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Robinson returned from a three-month absence and played in the Knicks’ final 10 regular season games, averaging just 15.4 minutes off the bench. Tom Thibodeau nearly doubled his minutes in Game 1, and Robinson swatted four shots in 30 minutes off the bench. Starter Isaiah Hartenstein logged just 18 minutes.

Robinson irritated Embiid all night, and after coming away victorious, it would make sense for Thibs to employ a similar game plan and give Robinson plenty of run. Robinson blocked at least two shots in nine of 18 games in which he played at least 25 minutes. The implied probability of our odds at bet365 is just 42.6% making this a value play.
