Dream vs. Sun Prediction, Odds & Expert Picks: WNBA Best Bets for Sept. 10

Last Updated: September 9, 2025 3:44 PM EDT • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link

The Atlanta Dream (29-14) and Connecticut Sun (11-32) will meet for a second time in three days, and my Dream vs. Sun prediction expects a similar outcome in the rematch. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Arena (Montville, Conn.).
After an 87-62 home victory on Monday, Atlanta is a 13.5-point road favorite in its final game of the regular season. The Dream must win if they hope to claim the No. 2 seed, which is why my WNBA picks are counting on a convincing performance by the visitors and Naz Hillmon to wrap up her Sixth Player of the Year campaign.
🏀 Dream vs. Sun prediction
WNBA odds subject to change.
- Moneyline pick: Dream (-952 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐
- Against the spread pick: Dream -13.5 (-110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐
- Over/Under pick: Over 158 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
📝 Dream vs. Sun preview & best bet
🔥 Dream -13.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
These two teams have faced off twice this month, with the Dream covering double-digit spreads in both meetings.
Atlanta’s 25-point line was more than enough to cover a 15-point spread at home on Monday. This comes after the Dream won by 17 as a 10.5-point road favorite on Sept. 1.
That’s what is supposed to happen when one of the best teams in the league squares off with one of the worst during the final weeks of the regular season. The Dream are motivated by their quest for the No. 2 seed, while the Sun have long since been eliminated ahead of the regular-season finale.
I don’t see any reason why we should expect Wednesday’s matchup to go any differently, which is why I’m laying the -13.5 to net $9.09 on a $10 bet.
💰 Best Dream vs. Sun player prop bet
⬆️ Naz Hillmon Over 9.5 points (-128) ⭐⭐⭐
Not only are the Dream in the mix for the No. 2 seed, but the WNBA championship odds contenders are also shooting for multiple awards in the final days of the regular season. Karl Smesko will likely finish second in the Coach of the Year race, while Allisha Gray could finish second for the Most Improved Player.
Naz Hillmon, meanwhile, appears to be the Sixth Player of the Year front-runner, despite starting 16 games. She’s averaged 9.8 points per game since joining the starting lineup, clearing this prop in three of her past four outings following a 14-point effort against the Sun on Monday.
I like backing Hillmon to lock up her award campaign on Wednesday at this price.

Atlanta opens as a 13.5-point road favorite after covering a 15-point spread on Monday. The total has also dropped after the two teams finished Under the closing line of 160.5.
If Monday is any indication, Atlanta will be the popular side in this matchup.

How do WNBA odds work?
When betting on the WNBA, the point spread shows how many points the favorite needs to win by in order to cash the bet. For example, a favorite of -5.5 must win by 6 or more points to cover the spread, while an underdog at +5.5 must win outright or lose by 5 or fewer points to cover the spread.
Moneyline odds represent the payout for picking the outright winner (+200 means a $100 bet wins $200, while -200 means a $200 bet wins $100). Over/Unders let you wager on whether the combined total will be higher or lower than the set number.
