It’s essential to be self-aware as a bettor, understanding potential blind spots. For me, I don’t put as much stock in situational spots. I generally make a number for a game and bet it when there is an edge based on the market.

That preamble was necessary because this is a classic situational spot. The Storm will throw everything they have into this game after losing five in a row, especially with the Los Angeles Sparks behind them by a half-game.

The problem with that logic: I believe the Dream are better. The market must agree because they made Atlanta a 1-point road favorite in this exact matchup on July 3.

The Dream might be due for a letdown after winning five straight games, including a crucial 74-66 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. However, Rhyne Howard has just returned, and Atlanta has been playing exceptional basketball lately.
