The Las Vegas Aces (12-13) hope a road meeting with the Dallas Wings (7-18) serves as a get-right spot, something that should be more feasible now that Paige Bueckers has been ruled out.

However, in our Aces vs. Wings prediction, we like a young Dallas squad to rally without Bueckers.

The Aces have been busy since returning from the All-Star break. This will be their fourth game in six days, including three in four days featuring three different cities.

Las Vegas has dropped the first two games on this road trip, which should give Dallas plenty of confidence after a pair of four-point losses in the previous two meetings. I like the Wings to earn the upset.

Because I like the Wings to win on Sunday, I love taking the points with them in this matchup. The only reason why this is four stars instead of five is that Las Vegas has been the most perplexing team in the league this season.

The Aces have faced the Wings twice this summer, winning both games by a four-point margin. Dallas squandered a late lead in the first matchup on June 13, falling to 1-11, but it has played much better since then. The Wings are 6-7 with a minus-1.7 net rating since mid-June.

While that might not seem that impressive, consider the fact that the Aces are 7-9 with a minus-3.1 net rating over their stretch. They felt compelled to send a future first-round pick to the Wings for NaLyssa Smith, who hasn’t made the level of impact they were expecting.

Put it all together, I think these two teams should be rated similarly moving forward. I’m happy to take the points in a matchup where the Wings can pull off an upset over an exhausted Aces team.
