Aces vs. Storm Prediction, Odds & Expert Picks: WNBA Best Bets for Sept. 16

Our Aces vs. Storm prediction expects Seattle to cover the spread on the strength of star Nneka Ogwumike clearing one of her player props.

Outside of a lopsided Game 1 loss, the Seattle Storm have found a way to keep things close against Las Vegas in 2025, and I’m anticipating a competitive contest as I make my Aces vs. Storm prediction. Tipoff is set for 9:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Climate Pledge Arena (ESPN).

For my WNBA picks, I think Storm All-Star forward Nneka Ogwumike will need to be a catalyst at both ends of the floor, and I’m supporting the Over on one of her player props.

It’s pretty risky to fade the Aces in any way, considering their 17-game winning streak after a decisive 25-point blowout win on home court in Game 1.

However, the Storm won a pair of games against Las Vegas during the regular season and lost twice by an average margin of just 4.5 points. The Storm won only 10 of 22 home games during the regular season, but I expect a spirited performance with their season on the line.

Seattle was fourth in the league in defensive rating and opponent points per game during the regular season. I anticipate some major defensive adjustments and a much tighter game plan at that end of the court in Game 2.

A $10 bet on Seattle to cover the spread would provide a profit of $9.52. The -105 odds from one of the best sports betting sites, BetMGM, have an implied probability of 51.22%.

💰 Best Aces vs. Storm player prop bet

⬆️ Nneka Ogwumike Over 27.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Aces vs. Storm Prediction, Odds & Expert Picks: WNBA Best Bets for Sept. 16

Nneka Ogwumike was relatively quiet in Game 1, finishing with 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in 27 minutes. However, she didn’t play the final eight minutes of the fourth quarter as a result of the lopsided score.

Ogwumike was a far better player on home court during the regular season, averaging 20.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, compared to 16.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game on the road.

The veteran was productive against Las Vegas during the regular season, putting up 17.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and three assists per game on 58.8% shooting from the field and 54.5% from 3-point range in four meetings.

A $10 wager on Ogwumike’s Over nets out a profit of $9.09 at FanDuel. The -110 odds have an implied probability of 52.38%.

How do WNBA odds work?

When betting on the WNBA, the point spread shows how many points the favorite needs to win by in order to cash the bet. For example, a favorite of -5.5 must win by 6 or more points to cover the spread, while an underdog at +5.5 must win outright or lose by 5 or fewer points to cover the spread.

Moneyline odds represent the payout for picking the outright winner (+200 means a $100 bet wins $200, while -200 means a $200 bet wins $100). Over/Unders let you wager on whether the combined total will be higher or lower than the set number.
