Daytona 500 odds 2023: Favorites

Denny Hamlin (+1300 via FanDuel)

Hamlin leads all active drivers with three Daytona 500 wins. His price fluctuation is negligible with a 200-point difference between Caesars (+1000) and DraftKings (+1200). The No. 11 car opened at 10/1 in November. Don’t expect this line to move too much until starting positions are set for the race.

Ryan Blaney (+1200 across the board)

Despite never winning a Daytona 500, Blaney is listed among the favorites in large part thanks to his two career runner-up finishes at the Great American Race. Books are locked in at his 12/1 listing with no deviation between them. The No. 12 car did not win a race last season, yet still found his way to the playoffs on points.

Chase Elliott (+1300 via FanDuel, PointsBet)

Elliott has already won a Cup Series championship in his young career. However, he has yet to take home a checkered flag in seven attempts at the Daytona 500. He logged a series-high five victories last season which accounts for his consistent 12/1 listing. Much like the other favorites in this race, his odds shouldn’t get much lower than they are now.

Daytona 500 odds 2023: Contenders

Joey Logano (+1600 via FanDuel)

Joey Logano accepts an award at the NASCAR Awards and is a driver to watch by the Daytona 500 odds.

The 2022 series champion has one Daytona 500 victory to his name. However, he is still among the favorites to win across all major books. He can be found anywhere between +1100 on Caesars and +1400 on both DraftKings and BetMGM. These odds should be in no danger of shifting as the public is likely to stay away from the No. 22 car for this race. Logano has an average finish of 19th in his last three Daytona 500 outings.

Kyle Busch (+1500 via PointsBet)

With his move from Joe Gibbs Racing to the Richard Childress team, Busch has one of the widest odd margins on the slate. Caesars offers the shortest odds (+1200), while PointsBet (+1500) shows the least faith in the new driver of the No. 8 car to win this race. Busch has never won a Daytona 500 in his storied career.

Austin Cindric (+2700 via FanDuel)

Last season, Cindric won the Daytona 500 in his first appearance. The 2020 Xfinity Series champion was 33/1 to win that race. This year, those odds have tightened and can be found as low as 18/1 on both DraftKings and BetMGM. His price is also set thanks to a third-place showing in the fall Daytona race. He will remain in this range and would only see movement should he fail to qualify well.

Daytona 500 odds 2023: Long shots

Jimmie Johnson (+4000 across the board)

Books are somewhat unsure as to what to make of Johnson’s return to NASCAR this season. The former seven-time Cup Series champion is not guaranteed a spot in the race, but if he does, his current odds make this an attractive investment.

Ty Gibbs (+5000 via FanDuel)

Gibbs is in line to become the second rookie in as many seasons to win his first Daytona 500. Gibbs will pilot the No. 54 car for Joe Gibbs in the major circuit this year. He is worth some speculation at 50/1 via FanDuel.

Noah Gragson (+5000 via DraftKings)

Gragson will be running in his first full Cup Series season as the pilot of the No. 42 car for Petty GMS Racing. However, he will be making his second career Daytona 500 start this year. In 2022, Gragson finished in 31st place while driving the No. 62 car. He won a series-high eight races last year in the Xfinity Series. Lines are locked at 50/1 for the rookie across all major books.
