It's time for the most anticipated bout of the year as we dive into the latest Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua betting odds ahead of tonight's (professional) heavyweight battle on Netflix.

Paul vs. Joshua and tonight's main card at Kaseya Center in Miami will air live and at no additional cost to subscribers on Netflix. Joshua, the former world heavyweight champion, is the -1200 betting favorite. Paul, the +700 underdog. Meanwhile, the full card includes Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, Alycia Baumgardner vs. Leila Beaudoin, and Caroline Dubois vs. Camila Panatta.

🥊 Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua odds: Who will win?

Here are the latest Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua moneyline odds via DraftKings as of Friday, Dec. 19.

Fighter Odds to win Implied win probability Profit ($10 bet)
Jake Paul +700 12.50% $70
Anthony Joshua -1200 92.31% $0.83

The Paul vs. Joshua moneyline odds are holding steady, with Joshua remaining the heavy betting favorite to win Friday's main event. Joshua is the more accomplished boxer, holding a 28-4 professional record with 25 knockout victories and two losses by knockout.

The Englishman stands 6-foot-6 with an 82-inch reach. He last lost to Daniel Dubois via knockout on Sept. 21, 2024. He had previously won four straight fights against Jermaine Franklin Jr., Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin, and Francis Ngannou.

Paul earned seven of his 12 victories by knockout, with only one loss by split decision on his record (Tommy Fury). Those wins include fights against Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (twice), Anderson Silva, and a then-58-year-old Mike Tyson. He most recently beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision in late June.

As such, Joshua is being given a 92.31% chance to beat Paul on Friday night. A winning $10 bet would return a profit of 83 cents if he does. It makes sense that the lion's share of the early Paul vs. Joshua betting action has come in on the former champ.

⚖️ Paul vs. Joshua odds movement

There was some fluctuation in the odds to win the Paul vs. Joshua fight on Thursday, but we've returned to the opening lines as of Friday morning. Joshua lengthened only slightly from -1200 to -1000 late Thursday, and Paul's odds temporarily dropped from +700 to +650.

It's likely that through today the odds move further in Joshua's direction once more sharp money comes. Current betting action - mostly from public bettors - heavily sides with Paul.

💰 Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua best bet

💡 What to consider when betting Paul vs. Joshua

Anthony Joshua is five inches taller, has eight inches more reach, and weighs nearly 30 pounds more than Paul. Oh, he's also far more accomplished in professional boxing and sports an Olympic gold medal.

As with all Paul endeavors in the ring, the only real question here is the legitimacy of the fight. With it being deemed professional and sanctioned, fears of any wrongdoings should be eliminated. Joshua at -1200 seems about as safe of a bet as we could hope for tonight.

Anthony Joshua by decision or technical decision (+450)

Anthony Joshua has the better resume, plain and simple. Rather than betting into the steep -1200 moneyline odds, I'm going to turn a $10 bet into a $45 profit with Joshua to win by decision.

The most important factor for me when handicapping any Jake Paul bout - especially one on Netflix, on the Friday before Christmas - is that these fights are for the masses, not the boxing purists. Paul's marketing has been heavily laden with Rocky and David vs. Goliath references.

Rocky lost his first fight - against Apollo Creed - via decision. This will get drawn out one way or another.
