🔮 Las Vegas Grand Prix predictions, expert picks & best bets
Here are my Las Vegas Grand Prix best bets for tonight's race at the Las Vegas City Circuit.
Pick to win Las Vegas Grand Prix: Lando Norris ⭐⭐⭐
I didn't expect Norris to take pole position from Verstappen on a track he hasn't fared well on since the inaugural 2023 race. However, Norris delivered a masterful performance in rainy and wet conditions, beating Verstappen at his own game, with the Dutchman often regarded as the best in inclement weather.
Before Friday's qualifying, Norris had taken pole position seven times this season. He won five of those races, including the last two in Mexico and Brazil. That's a 71% success rate when starting first on the grid, which is the primary reason I'm backing him to win a third straight race.
His odds to win the race range from -110 to -130, with the former being offered by DraftKings. Those odds represent a 52.38% implied probability, and a winning $10 bet will profit $9.09.
Best odds: -110 via DraftKings
Best value bet to win Las Vegas Grand Prix: Max Verstappen ⭐⭐⭐
Verstappen made a solid account of himself in qualifying, and he has an excellent track record in Sin City, winning the inaugural race in 2023. Red Bull has enjoyed far better outings in Sin City than McLaren, and the Dutchman won't be excessively concerned with starting second on the grid.
That said, Norris has been almost unbeatable as the lead driver.
There is a 30% chance of rain, but it doesn't appear Verstappen has as discernible an advantage, considering Norris' exceptional qualifying. However, Verstappen should benefit from the cooler conditions, particularly as it will almost negate the advantage McLaren's first-in-class cooling system usually provides.
I backed Verstappen in my Las Vegas Grand Prix odds and betting favorites. While I'm not as confident as I was before qualifying, Verstappen has shown enough in the pre-race events to represent a sound winner's pick.
Of the best sports betting sites, Caesars provides the best value (+140). Those odds will yield a $14 profit on a winning $10 bet.
Best odds: +140 via Caesars
Best long shot to win Las Vegas Grand Prix: George Russell ⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the first time in a long time, I'm feeling good about a long-shot pick. Russell's odds plummeted after qualifying, where he finished fourth. That turned him from one of the betting favorites to a quasi-long shot.
Despite his odds decreasing, Russell performed well in qualifying. While starting fourth on the grid isn't ideal, it's not insurmountable, particularly given that Mercedes, namely Russell, dominated last year in Sin City.
In addition, Russell is the only driver not named Norris, Verstappen, or Oscar Piastri to win a race this season, so there's precedence. FanDuel's +1600 carries a 5.88% implied probability, and a winning $10 bet will yield a $160 profit.
Best odds: +1600 via FanDuel
