🏎️ Austrian Grand Prix Odds, Favorites 2026: F1 Picks & Best Bets for Red Bull Ring

In Barcelona, Lewis Hamilton won his first race since joining Ferrari and shattered Mercedes' six-race winning streak. While Hamilton isn't the favorite for Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix (9 a.m. ET, ESPN), I'm backing him as part of these Austrian Grand Prix odds and favorites.
Hamilton is enjoying his best run with Ferrari, thanks to his increased mastery of the car and the team's continual upgrades.
The latest upgrade is expected to enhance Scuderia's performance in Austria. Kimi Antonelli, who has won five of seven races, is the +185 betting favorite.

🏁 Early pick to win Austrian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton (+400) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hamilton is enjoying his best patch of racing in years, and he won the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, his first victory since joining Ferrari at the start of last season. That makes it two second-place finishes and a win in his previous three races.
I'm also counting on Ferrari's latest significant upgrades to close the gap on Mercedes.
Mercedes' car has been best in class all season, but Ferrari's changes before the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix paid dividends. Their latest upgrade in advance of the Austrian Grand Prix should provide the in-form Hamilton with the boost he needs to secure his second straight victory.
💰 Early picks & best bets for Austrian Grand Prix
Here's a look at the best alternatives on the board looking ahead to Sunday's race:
George Russell (+300)
Thanks to Antonelli's DNF, George Russell secured second place in Barcelona, his best result since finishing fourth in Miami. It was his first podium since the second race of the season at the Chinese GP. Russell looked more comfortable in Barcelona, and he didn't have to deal with any car malfunctions or bad luck.
The Red Bull Ring is the seventh-fastest track on the F1 grid, which should favor Mercedes' high-performance car. If he can build on the Barcelona performance, I expect Russell to challenge for his first victory since the opening race of the season in Melbourne.
Kimi Antonelli (+185)
Mercedes has endured some trouble with power failures in recent races. Most of those issued have impacted Russell, but Antonelli found out the hard way that he is not immune. Antonelli was in second place before the electrical failure occurred just four laps from the finish line.
While Antonelli wouldn't have beaten Hamilton, it prevented him from his seventh straight podium finish. Mercedes believes it knows the root of its recent car failures. Whether they have solved the recurring issues is another question entirely.
Car issues are the only reason the Italian won't be among those challenging for the race win.
Lando Norris (+1000)
Lando Norris has been hit or miss all season. He enjoyed an excellent run in Barcelona, finishing third. That was his second podium finish in the previous four races.
Norris won the Austrian GP last season, which is one of the primary reasons I'm backing him to have the edge over teammate Oscar Piastri.
Last year's champion hasn't won a race yet this season, and he'll require some help to do so. That said, he's in with a chance if everything goes his way.
