It hasn't knocked them off their pedestal as the World Series odds favorites, but the Los Angeles Dodgers have been terrible lately. They finally earned a win last night against Minnesota, and our Twins vs. Dodgers prediction believes they can make it two straight with another massive contribution from Shohei Ohtani tonight.

I know the Dodgers have been terrible lately, but there's a reason they're priced as massive favorites in this one.

Yamamoto is a bona fide Cy Young odds contender, while Simeon Woods Richardson is, well, not anywhere close to any awards conversations.

Additionally, though it's still very early in the process, the Dodgers' offense has looked relatively dangerous since swapping Mookie Betts and Ohtani in the lineup. The latter launched a two-run homer in the first inning last night after Betts walked, and I think that could be a common theme going forward.

I never love paying into odds these short, so I'd personally leave this market alone. However, I wouldn't advise betting on the Twins just because the price is enticing. I believe this game is appropriately priced and that there isn't an edge on even the +192 odds at Caesars.

This is my least-favorite of my four home run predictions today, but I still really like Ohtani's chances to go yard today.

The two-way megastar is tied for the highest homer projection of the day, and he's managed an average exit velocity above 95 mph in each of his four games since the All-Star break.

Something I've noticed with Ohtani throughout this season is that he's been streakier than in prior years. He's certainly endured his "cold" spells, but when he gets hot, Ohtani goes nuclear. And, well, he's homered in each of his last three games, so I'd consider this a pretty hot run.

Woods Richardson is another mediocre right-hander similar to the Dodgers' opponent yesterday, David Festa. Ohtani punished Festa, and he'll do the same to Woods Richardson tonight.
