The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox continue their four-game series at Yankee Stadium, and I'm breaking it down with my Red Sox vs. Yankees prediction. First pitch is set to fly at 7:05 p.m. ET on Friday (NESN, Amazon Prime Video, MLB Network).

I like the Yankees to snap a six-game losing streak against the Red Sox this season. Yankees left-hander Max Fried owns a 2.84 ERA in three career starts against the Red Sox as he looks to get back on track amid a bumpy stretch since the beginning of July.

It’s also another good opportunity for Yankees star slugger Aaron Judge to have a strong performance at the plate as we make our Red Sox vs. Yankees best bets.

The Yankees have struggled to find any success against the Red Sox this season, losing six straight games after winning the first matchup between the two rivals in June.

Although Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello has had success against the Yankees in his career, his ERA has been worse on the road this season. Bello’s xERA of 4.43 is over a run higher than his actual ERA of 3.23 as I make my Red Sox vs. Yankees prediction. Bello’s strikeout numbers are also relatively pedestrian, and he allows hard contact at a decent rate.

Fried has struggled since the beginning of July, posting a 7.00 ERA in 27 innings since the All-Star break. However, Fried has a 2.67 ERA at the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium and held the Red Sox to two runs with nine strikeouts over seven innings in his last outing against Boston. Fried’s success at home, coupled with Bello’s relative struggles away from Fenway Park, is a big motivating factor behind my Red Sox vs. Yankees best bet.

I’m going right back to the well with Judge, even though he came up empty in the series opener, as I offer my best Red Sox vs. Yankees player prop.
