The Pittsburgh Pirates are back at American Family Field in Milwaukee today at 2:10 p.m. ET (MLB Network) to take on the Milwaukee Brewers in a star-studded pitcher's duel.

At this point, Skenes is used to putting up jaw-dropping numbers while registering an L on his record, and it doesn't look like today will be any different in Cream City. The LSU product just saw his Tigers win the College World Series and is poised to keep the good times rolling for supporters of the Bayou Bengals.

Skenes leads MLB in ERA (1.85), ranks sixth in the NL in strikeouts (106), and 15th in the NL in K/9 (9.4). But he's really taken it up a notch as of late, allowing just six earned runs in his last seven starts. That includes going Over 7.5 strikeouts four times during that stretch, and racking up eight Ks in his last outing against the Brewers.

Skenes uses four pitches more than 8% of the time - four-seamer, split finger, sweeper, changeup - and opponents have a 27.1% or higher whiff rate and an xBA below .215 against three of them.

The Brewers are in the top half of the NL in strikeouts this year (652), and I'd play the Over on Skenes' 7.5 strikeouts with odds as short as +110, making this a good value play with a $10 winning bet paying a $12.60 profit.
