It's been a frustrating start for the Diamondbacks, who sit fourth in the NL West after a three-game skid and just lost ace Corbin Burnes for the season.

But this feels like a quintessential bounce-back spot with Merrill Kelly (3.43 ERA) on the bump. The 36-year-old righty has been turning back time this year while posting a career-best 3.33 FIP and 0.987 WHIP, and he's fresh off blanking the Atlanta Braves with seven innings of one-hit ball.

If Kelly does his job against an inconsistent Mariners lineup, I fully expect Arizona's bats - which rank fourth in runs per game (5.0) and wOBA (.337) - to expose Hancock (5.19 ERA). He's allowed the eighth-highest batting average (.288) of any pitcher who's pitched 50-plus frames this season.
