NL Central rivals the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers are set to face off in the NLDS, and I’m breaking it down with my best Cubs vs. Brewers player props for NL Divisional Series Game 1.
The Brewers are -152 moneyline favorites with both clubs in a similar position in the World Series odds. First pitch is set for 2:08 p.m. ET from American Family Field in Milwaukee (TBS).
My MLB picks for Game 1 include backing a strong outing from Brewers ace Freddy Peralta, as well as productive offensive outings from Jackson Chourio and Pete Crow-Armstrong.

🔥 Freddy Peralta Over 14.5 outs recorded (-133) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The wild-card round was mostly defined by low-scoring games with aggressive bullpen deployment. It was more common for a starting pitcher to get pulled before the fifth inning than to go deep into the game.
Despite that, I like the relative value of backing Milwaukee’s ace to complete five innings in the first game of the series. Peralta was dominant at home during the regular season, posting a 9-1 record with a 1.77 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 91 ⅔ innings. He also had success against the Cubs, holding Chicago to a .164 average with a 3.43 ERA across four starts.
A $10 bet on Peralta to complete at least five innings yields a profit of $7.52 at DraftKings. The -133 odds have an implied probability of 57.08%. I was happy to secure this player prop at -133, with Caesars offering it as high as -152.
⬆️ Jackson Chourio Over 0.5 RBIs (+175) ⭐⭐⭐
Chourio's first postseason experience was a smashing success, as he had a pair of home runs, three RBIs, and a .455 average in three games last season. I'm expecting Chourio to be a major factor from the first pitch of Game 1.
The Cubs haven’t announced a starting pitcher as of yet, but it could be a combination of bullpen arms and right-hander Colin Rea. If Chourio sees Rea, he should feel comfortable after knocking two hits, including a triple across three at-bats in the regular season.
A $10 wager on Chourio to hit the over on this prop would provide a profit of $17.50 and has an implied probability of 36.36%.
🐻 Pete Crow-Armstrong Over 0.5 hits (-135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
PCA broke out of a funk in a huge Game 3 performance against San Diego, registering three hits in four at-bats. He enjoyed strong results against Peralta during the regular season, with four hits, one home run, and three RBIs in eight at-bats.
He tore the cover off the ball during six games at American Family Field, slashing .364/400/.864 with three home runs, six runs scored, two doubles, and seven RBIs.
A $10 winning wager on Crow-Armstrong to record a hit would provide a profit of $7.41. The implied probability of the -135 odds is 57.45%.
