I was initially going to bet the Under on Skenes as my best Tigers vs. Pirates prediction, but then I took a dive into his strikeout numbers against Detroit, and they are astronomical. I feel warm and cozy about backing one of the game's best K artists as part of our best strikeout props today.
Across 37 plate appearances against the Cy Young odds contender, the Tigers are striking out at an incredible pace - 40% of the time, to be exact. That is just ridiculous. The last time Skenes started against Detroit, he recorded nine strikeouts. Among the notable names who can't see the ball out of Skenes' hand is Riley Greene, who's 1-for-6 with three strikeouts against the Pirates ace. Yeah, you can say I've got a good feeling about this one.
Skenes owns a whiff and K percentage inside the top 10 among all qualified starters, and he shouldn't have a problem getting to seven punchouts tonight against a team that strikes out the fifth-most in MLB. He's a part of our best NRFI bets today for a reason.

βΎ Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers) Over 3.5 strikeouts ββββ
β Best odds: -110 via FanDuel ($10 to win $9.09)
How deep into the ballgame will Ohtani go? That's the main question when backing this strikeout number. Granted, he is starting to ramp up on the mound, pitching three innings in his last start for the first time this season.
Everything says he will pitch at least three innings tonight, especially for a team that needs it - the Dodgers have lost 10 of their last 12 games and have been spiraling. If he can do that, there's no reason to believe he won't go Over this number as part of our best strikeouts props today. Ohtani also loves what he sees against Minnesota, striking them out at a near 20% clip. He's registered at least one punchout against five of their nine starting bats. Our Gabe Henderson loves this play as one of his best Twins vs. Dodgers predictions, too.
All things considered, I'd price this play closer to -120; we love the value we're getting with FanDuel. It's the best price available across our best sports betting apps, which are priced closer to -115 betting odds.

What is the run line in baseball?
The run line in baseball is a form of point spread betting unique to MLB. It typically sets a standard spread of 1.5 runs, meaning the favored team must win by at least two runs to cover the run line, while the underdog can lose by one run or win outright to cover.

The moneyline in betting refers to a wager on which team or player will win the game outright, with no point spread involved. Itβs the most straightforward type of sports bet - just pick the winner.
