Kyle Tucker 2+ total bases vs. Diamondbacks (-110)
New team, same Tucker, at least that's what we're looking for against a pitcher he's historically dominated. One of the most protected hitters in baseball in that Dodgers' lineup owns a .370 xwOBA against Gallen and has delivered three extra-base hits against the DBacks' ace across just 18 plate appearances. It helps that Tucker owns better splits against right-handers, too. With an average exit velocity close to 94 MPH off Gallen, look for Tucker to square a couple up on Opening Day, and for this to cash early into the ballgame.
📡 SBR Edge: Take Dodgers -1.5 (-118)
Los Angeles as a team owns a .340 wOBA against Gallen and is hitting for a .274 AVG. Not bad when you consider this Diamondbacks team can't touch Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Dodgers ace strikes out Arizona at a 30% rate, while the lineup hits just .161 and owns a .236 xwOBA. Look for Los Angeles to handle business on Opening Day.

Julio Rodriguez 2+ total bases vs. Guardians (+120)
This type of value on J-Rod is absurd, and it's one of my best bets on the board for Opening Day as a result. Not only does Rodriguez carry a .417 xBA to the plate against Tanner Bibee, but I'm expecting to see some positive regression early in the season after recording his lowest barrel percentage of his career in 2025. Rodriguez puts the ball in play and sees it well against Bibee specifically, which should help us cash our first plus-money play of the year.
Paul Skenes Over 6.5 strikeouts vs. Mets (+104)
We all know Skenes is one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball. He owned a top-10 whiff percentage and top-10 K rate among qualified starters a season ago, and is ramped up after pitching in the World Baseball Classic. The Mets have struck out at a 25% rate against him across 31 plate appearances, too - let's watch him carve on Opening Day.
