Hughes enters this week at No. 56 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) following last week's missed cut in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. The Canadian tied for third in the RBC Heritage and finished 10th in the Texas Children's Houston Open before that to show his game isn't too far off.

Valimaki was available at +5000 odds to win the Myrtle Beach Classic when I began writing this morning. He quickly dropped to +3500 as the only early mover on the oddsboard. He seemingly drew some early betting action at mispriced odds.
The Finnish star enters the week at No. 106 in the OWGR following a T-39 last week. He missed just two cuts through 11 events this year, and has a best result of fourth in the Texas Children's Houston Open against a field much stronger than this.
