Saturday’s matchup between Kent State and Texas Tech has one of the biggest point spreads on the weekend slate involving two FBS teams, and I break down this perceived mismatch with my Kent State vs. Texas Tech prediction as part of our college football picks.

Red Raiders quarterback Behren Morton was listed as questionable for this game, but is set to play. However, Morton has not exactly lit it up in Lubbock, consistently finishing with a Total QBR between 51.6 and 56.0 in all three years as the Red Raiders' signal caller. While he is still a proven veteran, Texas Tech would be wise not to risk further injury by leaving him in too long.
