| Myrtle Beach Bowl predictions | Odds | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Kennesaw State +3.5 | -115 (BetMGM) | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Amari Odom anytime TD | +175 (bet365) | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
Kennesaw State +3.5 (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a fairly equal matchup between conference champs, and Western Michigan shouldn't be favored by more than a field goal, especially with its one-dimensional offense. The Broncos are just No. 110 in offensive SP+ and averaging 23.6 PPG.
🏆️ A battle of conference champions
This is one of the most underrated bowl games of bowl season, pitting two conference champions against each other. Kennesaw State is coming off its first Conference USA Championship in just its second season at the FBS level, while Western Michigan won its first MAC title since 2016. This matchup is No. 12 in our best non-CFP bowl games to watch rankings.
Jerry Mack's Owls are the more well-rounded team, with an especially explosive offense (28.3 PPG, No. 66 by SP+) and the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year (Baron Hopson) leading a defense built to stop the run.
Personally, I think this should be a pick'em. So, with this shockingly large spread, I'm all over the Owls.
Score prediction: Western Michigan 24, Kennesaw State 23

Amari Odom, QB, Kennesaw State: Anytime TD (+175) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The QB run game will be hugely important to Kennesaw State's success, especially as it tries to minimize the impact of Nadame Tucker, the No. 22 on our list of the best players to watch in non-CFP bowl games.
Luckily for Mack, he's found a star in the making in his first season leading the Owls. Odom, a Wofford transfer, helped Kennesaw State turn into an offensive powerhouse in the Conference USA this season.
The redshirt sophomore not only leads the country in big-time throw rate (8.7%), but his mobility has been an X-factor. Odom ranks top 15 in the Group of Six in scrambled yards (212) and forced missed tackles among QBs (20).
With Western Michigan's defense focused on slowing his downfield passing, Odom should be able to create some magic as a runner. He's scored in seven of his last 10 games, which is why I can't believe how long the odds are on him to score in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.
