James Bisson takes a look at the odds breakdown for this year's Fiesta Bowl showdown between TCU and Michigan.

TCU might be a deserving member of college football's final four, but oddsmakers aren't giving the Horned Frogs much of a chance of getting past an elite, motivated Michigan Side. The Wolverines opened in most places as double-digit favorites, though the line has moved in TCU's favor in recent days. Still, the odds are squarely against a Horned Frogs side that not only went 12-1 this season, but boasted one of the top ATS marks in the nation, as well.

TCU vs. Michigan Spread

Michigan -7.5 is the majority line across major sports betting sites, with FanDuel leading the way with slightly better -108 odds on the underdog.

The Wolverines not only rolled through their season schedule without a defeat, they were also a strong cover option, going 8-4-1 ATS overall. That includes a 5-1-1 run over their previous seven contests, despite being favored by 16 or more points in five of them (going 4-1 ATS).

And yet, TCU was even kinder to bettors this season – going 9-3-1 ATS despite failing to cover in two of its final three outings. The Horned Frogs fared well in limited action as underdogs, going 2-1 SU and ATS in three contests.

TCU vs. Michigan Over/Under

The Fiesta Bowl total of 58 is virtually universal across all notable sportsbooks. FanDuel is once again the outlier here, hanging a 57.5 with -115 on the Over and -105 on the Under.

TCU posted a 7-6 O/U mark this season, though four of its final five games came in below the number. Credit an improved defensive performance for the Horned Frogs' year-ending Under run, with the team holding opponents below 30 points in four of their final five outings.

It will come as no surprise to those who watched Michigan all season to read that the Wolverines finished 5-8 O/U on the year. And you can't blame Michigan's D for letting Under bettors down in those five Overs; the Wolverines held foes to 23 or fewer points in all of them.
