Colorado vs. Utah Player Prop Bets Today: Best Player Props & TD Picks for Week 9

Utah running back NaQuari Rogers was a virtual no-show last week at BYU, but that isn’t stopping me from backing Rogers with two of my top three Colorado vs. Utah player prop bets.

Week 9 of the college football season comes to a close Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, and you better believe I’m finishing strong with my best Colorado vs. Utah player prop bets today.

The host Utes are a consensus 13.5-point betting favorite, as they look to take down the Buffaloes in this nationally televised Big 12 battle (10:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Given that Utah has one of the nation’s premier rushing attacks, it should come as no surprise that I’m riding a Utah running back with not one but two of my college football picks. Of course, these three plays are among a slew of college football predictions for Week 9.

⬇️ Kaidon Salter player prop: Under 175.5 passing yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Colorado’s Kaidon Salter is coming off his second-best passing performance of the season, notching 255 yards on just 16 completions in an upset victory over Iowa State. Salter’s previous high: 304 yards against Wyoming. The thing about Salter, though, is he’s yet to string together two productive passing games in a row.

In fact, aside from Iowa State and Wyoming, Salter has passed for 159 yards against Georgia Tech, 102 against Delaware, 119 against BYU and 217 at TCU. The top performance against Utah’s 11th-ranked pass defense: 311 yards by Texas Tech’s tandem of Behren Morton (142) and Will Hammond (169). Next-best: BYU’s Bear Bachmeier, who had 166 air yards last week.

Lay -115 odds on this Colorado vs. Utah player prop at BetMGM. The implied win probability is 53.49%, and you stand to pocket $8.70 on a $10 bet.

⬆️ NaQuari Rogers player prop: Over 36.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

In his first five games against FBS competition, Utah running back NaQuari Rogers averaged 12.8 carries (at least 10 in every game) and 53.4 yards (at least 37 in every game). Then in last week’s rivalry battle with BYU, Rogers turned into a ghost: one carry, 2 yards. By all accounts, the senior isn’t in coach Kyle Whittingham’s doghouse. If true, I absolutely love this Colorado vs. Utah player prop.

As noted, Rogers beat this projection in every FBS game prior to BYU. Also, on Saturday he’ll get to feast on a defense that has surrendered more than 200 rushing yards to four of six FBS foes. None of those foes have been as prolific running the football as Utah (No. 6 in the nation).

Bet this one at FanDuel, where the -114 odds carry a 53.27% implied win probability. A winning $10 bet would return $8.77.

🔥 NaQuari Rogers to score anytime touchdown (+140) ⭐⭐

Yep, I’m going all-in with the NaQuari Rogers bounce-back narrative. Prior to inexplicably being written out of the game plan last week at BYU, Rogers carried the pigskin across the goal line twice in Utah’s 42-10 rout of Arizona State. He also scored in each of the Utes’ first three games against UCLA, Cal Poly (two TDs) and Wyoming.

Rogers’ six total touchdowns are a team high — and four fewer TDs than Colorado has surrendered on the ground. Also working in Rogers’ favor here: The Utes might be without dual-threat quarterback (and leading rusher) Devon Dampier, who got beat up at BYU. Even if Dampier plays, he won’t be running like usual, especially near the end zone.

Play this Colorado vs. Utah player prop bet at Caesars, where the +140 price carries a 41.67% implied win probability. Payout on a $10 bet: $14.
