When it comes to ranking the top sportsbook for the World Cup, there are a number of criteria that I considered. Options for single-game betting are obviously important, but also the futures market — there's a wide variety from sportsbook to sportsbook in terms of what they offer.
Here are my rankings of the top sportsbooks for betting on the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
6. PointsBet
I have to admit I am very disappointed in PointsBet, usually a great sportsbook for all major sporting events. There are plenty of alternate spreads, goals, plus first and second half bets to keep you occupied but its futures offerings are really lacking.
For anything more specific than the outright winner, stage of elimination, group winner, or top goalscorer you'll want to look elsewhere.

5. Caesars Sportsbook
Caesars has all the standard markets available for individual games and in the futures market. While they have aggressive odds in a wide variety of markets, we ranked it here because they don't have same-game parlays. That's a big miss considering it has proven to be a very popular option for bettors.

4. Barstool Sportsbook
Barstool should be commended for the wide variety of futures on tap. It's one of two sportsbooks on this list where you can actually bet on how many goals an individual player will score in the tournament, plus its tournament specials are intriguing.
However, they do not have a "To Reach The X" market, instead focusing on the round in which each team will be eliminated. While predicting the exact round of elimination naturally results in a larger payout, casual bettors may be confused by the difference.

3. BetMGM
It took a little time to navigate the BetMGM desktop website, but it has fair offerings on both single game bets and futures. Unlike the sportsbooks above, BetMGM also adds the option to bet on the top goalscorer for individual teams.

2. DraftKings Sportsbook
DraftKings has competitive odds for single game bets throughout the group stage, but for futures, it's one of the best. DraftKings is the only sportsbook on this list where you can actually bet on which player finishes with the most assists and one of two that takes bet on the Golden Glove for the tournament's best goalkeeper.

1. FanDuel Sportsbook
With its parent company Flutter Entertainment having roots in Europe, maybe it shouldn't come as a surprise that FanDuel takes the World Cup very seriously.
Want to bet on the highest scoring group, winning confederation, or the best finish from a South American country? FanDuel has you covered. They even have what's called a "Player Special ACCA", where you can combine players to score one, two, three, or four or more goals for a parlay that can make the tournament that much more interesting. Not to be outdone, FanDuel even has a whole section dedicated to bets on the US.
The sheer amount of options FanDuel offers makes this an easy choice for the top spot.
