It’s a strong start for theScore Bet, mainly because it calls Ontario home and has significant brand recognition in Canada’s most populous province.
Even though there’s no guaranteed correlation between the app being downloaded and bettors depositing and wagering, the dominance of the market share cannot be understated.
Penn National spent $2 billion in cash and equity to acquire Score Media and Gaming last year, so seeing immediate support for theScore Bet has to be reassuring after the hefty acquisition cost.

theScore Bet has also been aggressive on the marketing front by inking a 10-year agreement to partner with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The partnership provides theScore Bet with exclusive national marketing rights extending across all gaming categories, including sports betting, casino, online casino, and fantasy sports.
Additionally, the Blue Jays and theScore Bet plan to create a branded, premium, year-round sports bar and restaurant at Rogers Centre to serve as an entertainment hub and destination for fans.
It’s also worth adding theScore Bet is available in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, and New Jersey.
