Missouri’s 13 riverboat casinos generated $156.5 million in revenue for September, up 4% year-on-year compared to the previous year’s total of $150 million.

The latest figures, published by the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC), show that of this total, slots generated $133.5 million, up from $128 million and representing a year-on-year increase of 4%. Table games also recorded a year-on-year increase, producing $22.9 million, up 5% from $21.8 million.

The biggest revenue rise came at Horseshoe St Louis, which posted a 25% year-on-year increase in September, rising from $10.6 million to $13.3 million. Other double-digit increases came from Century-Caruthersville, Harrah’s KC, IOC Boonville, and Mark Twain, which were up 21%, 20%, 16% and 12%, respectively.

Six of the venues experienced revenue declines, with the largest being Bally’s Kansas City, which fell from $11.1 million to $10.2 million, an 8% decrease. Following this, Century Cape, Ameristar Kansas City, Ameristar St. Charles, and St. Jo Frontier also experienced year-on-year drops.

Underdog and St. Louis Blues extend partnership

The NHL team, the St. Louis Blues, and fantasy sports operator Underdog have announced a multi-year extension of their partnership to expand fan engagement during the upcoming National Hockey League season.

The collaboration comes as Underdog’s application for a Missouri sports betting license remains under review by the MGC. The company currently operates licensed sports betting in the North Carolina sports betting market and holds daily fantasy licenses in multiple states. Sports betting in Missouri is expected to go live later this year, by Dec. 1.

The agreement will give Underdog a visible presence at both home and away Blues games, including in-arena signage, video features, and broadcast integrations. The partnership builds on an earlier collaboration that featured in-game promotions for fantasy contests at the Blues’ Enterprise Center.

“We’ve learned how rabid Blues fans are when it comes to leveling up their sports experience, making this partnership an obvious choice as we continue to introduce ourselves to the St. Louis market,” said Joshua Anderson, Director of Strategy, Underdog. “Being on the ground at Enterprise Center this season, we’re meeting fans on the cusp of a new era in the overall sports experience, and doing so in a way that’s authentic to the Blues and everything they represent.”

The partnership reflects broader changes in the Missouri sports landscape, where multiple operators are preparing for the potential launch of regulated sports betting and launching Missouri sportsbook promos. If approved, Underdog would become one of the first companies to link a major professional sports franchise in the state with an active betting platform.

In September, Underdog also announced a partnership with the MLB team, the Kansas City Royals, which first opened up the fantasy sports operator to Missouri’s developing sports betting landscape.
