Golden Nugget Online Casino has officially launched in Ontario, entering the largest North American regulated iGaming marketplace. The app, launched this past Wednesday, uses the tech platform owned by DraftKings and is now available for use across both iOS and Android platforms.
It has more than 2,000 slot machines, as well as various table games, including blackjack, craps, and roulette. Ontario online casino players can now access popular slot titles such as Huff N' More Puff, Cleopatra, and Hypernova Megaways, per the DraftKings' press release, with jackpots exceeding $1 million.
The platform also offers exclusive DraftKings-developed games, including Rocket, Dollar Up, and Quakey Shakey, backed by a loyalty program and customer support infrastructure.
Golden Nugget Online Gaming, which was acquired by DraftKings in 2022, has already established itself in several US states. Ontario becomes the fifth jurisdiction where the casino app is available, following previous launches in the Michigan online casino, New Jersey online casino, Pennsylvania online casino, and West Virginia online casino markets. The brand was also the first online gaming operator in the US to introduce Live Dealer and Live Casino Floor experiences.
Ontario's online casino sector continues to be the dominant vertical in the province's regulated market. According to an iGaming Ontario report, online casinos generated $2.4 billion in gaming revenue during the 24-25 FY, increasing 36% year-on-year. Total gaming revenue hit $3.2 billion.
Golden Nugget a top earner
As Golden Nugget starts its Ontario debut, the operator continues to achieve robust performance in New Jersey, one of its most mature markets. The State of New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has published total gaming revenue for July 2025 as $606.2 million, up 10.7% from the prior year. Year-to-date statewide revenue totaled $3.92 billion, up by 8.8%, while $446.1 million in taxes has been collected.
Casinos received $284.1 million in July, up 4.3% from last year, with slots contributing $212.9 million and table game revenue contributing $71.3 million. Atlantic City property Golden Nugget had $12.9 million in casino win for the month.
The operator's online division also remained a leader in iGaming, generating $71.2 million in July. This positioned it alongside Borgata ($54.9 million) and Resorts Casino ($55.6 million) as top performers in the digital sector.
Total real-money online casino revenue in New Jersey hit $247.3 million in July, a gain of 26.6% over the same month in the prior year. Year-to-date iGaming revenue totaled $1.63 billion, up by 23.3%, demonstrating the sector's explosive growth in comparison to the brick-and-mortar casino business.
Golden Nugget's solid digital performance cements its reputation as one of the leading iGaming operators in the state, and it continues to grow into other markets like Ontario.
