DraftKings Sportsbook has updated its betting market for which team Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton will play for next, and the Suns are no longer the betting favorite.

The Indiana Pacers now have the shortest odds available.

Because Ayton is a restricted free agent, if Phoenix fails to reach an agreement with their first overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft, the club will still have the option to match any contract offered by another organization.

There are ample rumors connecting Ayton to the Pacers, though, and the bookmakers at DraftKings have clearly altered their odds accordingly.

Additionally, it’s also noteworthy how much line movement the Brooklyn Nets have witnessed, which obviously connects to forward Kevin Durant’s demand to be traded from the organization.

With the Suns the betting favorite to land Durant, Ayton being shipped to the Nets as part of the return package fits the narrative.

On the flipside, after the Detroit Pistons acquired center Jalen Duren from the Charlotte Hornets on draft night, their odds to add Ayton have climbed considerably.

While the NBA rumor mill continues to churn, it’s likely the Durant sweepstakes will need to be settled before Ayton’s future is decided – whether he’s involved in the transaction or not.
