#73Don't know what the fukk has happened to Youzhny. Since he won the opening set, he's barely been able to do anything - losing eight of nine games. Looks like this one is fried.Comment -

#76The guy's got heart. I backed him a lot back in 2009-2010 but for some reason I never like the odds listed on him these days - favorite or underdog. I think a streak of unfavorable retirements lead to me quasi blacklisting him when he had back issues. I know you have a man-crush on him and a hetero-crush on Zvonareva. Should I call you Eaglesphanov now?Comment -

#79Well Tsonga was indeed a good play @ +150 to win Metz. Here's a quickie preview for this week:
ATP Bangkok [Indoor]
Tipsarevic, Gasquet, Raonic & Simon as the top four seeds. A seeded player has won eight of nine titles @ this event. Tipsarevic has a nice semifinal draw. Verdasco is the toughest potential opponent. Haase probably first-up, but on this surface Tipsarevic has the power edge. Simon is the seed in the next quarter. He has a 6-1 record at this event, but his form is sketchy at-best. Monfils, Troicki & Stakhovksy all loom in the bottom of his quarter. Simon could get through here, but the quarter looks pretty open with Monfils potentially a good shot here after a nice start with his comeback last week @ Metz.
Gasquet will be up against it right off the bat in his quarter. He could face Dimitrov who is solid on this surface. The winner of that 2nd round match is likely the semifinalist from this quarter. Tomic & Garcia-Lopez will be an interesting 1st rounder with the winner the favorite to go to the quarters, but I like Gasquet or Dimitrov here. Raonic's quarter has Karlovic potentially as his first match. Nieminen and Petzschner litter the other part of the quarter. There's nothing here to trouble Raonic if his serve is pumping. He can be a bit lazy even and get through here on serve alone.
Tipsarevic +250
Monfils +700
Raonic +350
ATP Kuala Lumpur [Indoor]
Ferrer, Monaco, Nishikori and Dolgpolov as the seeds. That list right there should tell you this is the lesser of the two tourneys and also the one that looks likely to feature more upsets. Ferrer has a semifinal draw with Feliciano Lopez potentially the only road block in the quarters and it might be a stretch for his inconsistent ass to get there. Dolgopolov is in the quarter below. Really a simple draw for him to the semis, but what is ever simple for him? Benneteau could be the spoiler.
Monaco really isn't a guy who you would think of doing much on a quick surface, but he had quite a run in 2011 on the year-end indoor tourneys. He made the final in Valencia and the QFs in Paris. His draw should see him through to the quarters and a semifinal shot isn't far fetched with Melzer, Baker and Pospisil as the contenders in the top part of the quarter. Watch Baker. He has faded late this year, but this surface suits him and the draw also allots him a shot. Pospisil is confusing. I see him listed as withdrawing from qualis, but he's in the main draw. I'd avoid Melzer v. Pospisil at all costs. I'd give Monaco the edge to the semis.Nishikori still seems a gimpy play this week. He could make it through his 1st match, but he looks primed to be picked off before the semis. Intriguing first rounder with Klizan and Davydenko. Klizan won his first ATP title and I would look for a hangover potentially ... Davydenko was decent last week and young players often don't know how to follow up winning their first title as far as managing schedule/emotions. A huge learning experience for Klizan this week. If he has a good mindset, don't count him out of another run. I look at the winner between Davydenko and Klizan as the potential spoiler in this quarter & I have a feeling it might be the Donkey.
Ferrer +110
Monaco +800

#83Going to work some angles like I try with draws in soccer. Calling this the Split Dog Project. Just testing things out to wind down the season. Idea is to take two dogs, you win one and you profit. Flat betting of one unit per play.

#94If this were true, my open parlay would be alive.
As far as the ATP-WTA level tourneys go, yes. Fortunately as I said - I have made a few off the board bets and mostly evened out for the week. End of the year is somewhat of a tough time as I remember ... not that all year isn't tough, but guys being banged up, worn out or uncertain on motivation ... sometimes difficult to figure out who is ready to do what. Really the only ones I should bet worth a shit other than recreational units are the two Masters events left and the Tour Finals.Comment -
