The US Open 2012 has been cancelled! The tment has been moved to Dec 25th - 31st. Should be interesting....... Smart move by the USTA. All pending bets will remain pending for 3.5 months

I asked the same question yesterday. Apparently, humidity issues with hard court. Also, the fact that there are the drying machines that aren't an option on clay or grass.
