All Grand Slams are considered strictly outdoor tournaments. The match will be considered an indoors match if played with a roof and can give certain players with strong serves distinct advantages. Even when they get a roof (proposed in the next coming year), they will only use it under extreme situations. This is why grand slam officials for years now dont push for the indoor roof, they're trying to make the playing field even without added advantages.

From a betting standpoint it sucks but they gotta keep with tradition.

Then create a facility in Los Angeles where we don't get in rain in the summer. Having guys play on back to back days and playing at 3 o'clock in the morning creates distinct advantages.

they declared that one postponed early in the afternoon, while the Stosur match was still ongoing, I believe.

This is really a cluster*#@$. Constant starting and stopping all day. Screws with the players, not to mention the fans and officials.
