Oh and I forget that fukk Riba screwed what looked like an easy under yesterday by retiring.
I thought of you with Isner. You winning was probably the only thing that kept me from going insane. And the fact that unlike other subforums on here, at least people can talk about things without resorting to silly names as if the person on the other side of the bet played the match/game themselves.
I played a few bad ones and skipped a few good ones purely on odds I could get. But there's stuff we'll always know ie Young sucks. Almuggy can't win straight up. Dolgo can't either against anyone decent. Wawa lifts for Slams. Bratchi, Vosko and Barthel are just firing through. Falla???
tomorrow's a new day... ditching the odds... going back to what I like and if I find odds that match up, I'm taking them

Oh yeah forgot about skipping Falla + the games ... but for that bet that I would have made, I probably would have picked Dimitrov or Baghdatis on the ML and lost ... so I'll just take what I can get.
Parlays seem to be my best work to-date, at least when I stick to picking two players and not adding more.
We'll see how this total goes, but totals here in Melbourne have not jived with me. Well Baghdatis is just a fukkin' putz. Go home.

Just answer me this ... how large is your boner for Roddick v. Hewitt?
It's going to be over hyped by ESPN all day.

Doesn't seem like Baghdatis is going to win a set any other way than in a tie break.

Dude, I probably won't even watch it. Honestly I can imagine I'll be out back in the sun room working on here and I'll put on the Wiggles for **. Ok that's a lie, I'll follow on 365 and if the little dude falls asleep I'll go in and watch. But I truly don't care. Hewitt acted like he won the Slam just by getting through the 1st round and he's hitting the commentating booth for the rest of the tourney as soon as he's out. The sooner the better if he wants to hone his skills.
I hate the fact it even eventuated just because of the media mess. This isn't Agassi vs Sampras, you know what I mean? This is a totally different era that I'm really not that fond of at all. Even Fed vs Nadal never did it for me. I don't have anyone I truly cheer for on the men's side other than Raonic, Russell and Tursy. I remember standing in my hotel room in Paris when I was 17, bouncing on the bed with a Champagne bottle in my hand and screaming at the tv when Agassi was playing Sampras in the US Open in 2002. Screaming like blue in the face. That's never happened since and I only had $10 on that match with my dad. Probably me just being old and whatever but I really don't care about these ones... the Aussie commentators kill whatever pseudo Aussie pride I'd have... and this is just a match between two beat up vets. Sad I don't care. I really should.

I agree with your assessment. Media will be over selling it though since it's in "prime time" ... Baggy is done. Fukk couldn't even manage a set.

And there's the $1.60 over.
See - don't even care about these guys at all. Useless. Like come on now. If you have live betting, wait until everyone in Oz hammers Baggy hoping for the comeback and then grab Wawa. He's not winning the match looking like that unless Stan retires.

I play my futures a little differently than some. I like to wait to see a couple days of play for some and then go ahead, so adding these in.
Azarenka +550 I had Vika in the bracket contest to win the whole thing and she has looked the part of contender leading up to Melbourne and through two rounds. Some things running in her favor: the weather isn't expected to be scorching hot for most of the remainder of the tournament and her draw has her squarely shaped up for the QFs. Her potential hiccup before then would be next round vs. Barthel. Barthel is in a huge groove right now, but we're still talking about a young girl who hasn't beaten a top ten player yet. If she doesn't get tripped up there, she should be right on track to play Radwanska in the quarters.
Bartoli +5000 With Stosur crashing out, the top half of her draw is right there for her to skate into the QFs where she'd face Kvitova. That would be tough to get through, but at the big price - the trade out could start there and with a little luck you might have a large price in the semifinals.
Del Potro +3275 His portion of the draw is wide open and assuming DelPo can find a good rhythm, a trip to the quarters likely against Federer is what we're looking at here.
Nadal +755 A pure trading opportunity with this one. Nadal's physical well-being is still a question mark, but he's show his ability to grind early on once more. His draw is set up very nicely though for him to get to the quarters. His big test before might be Isner, but Isner looked troubled against another good returner in Nalbandian yesterday before getting the gift. If all goes to play, Nadal and Berdych was my QF match-up in this bracket and I'd be willing to trade out on Berdych as a dog in that match because it should carry a great price and I also believe Berdych could win this whole thing [true story?]
dam great price on Del Po...! I hope fatty doesn't pull a fatty and screw you!
I might stay up to watch the Barthel match..Interested to see what all the hub bub is about with her.

Corrected price on Azarenka. Was looking at Clijsters number instead. So +550 not +870.

Australian Open: January 18th
Bogomolov -135: Llodra's record at the two hard court Slams in the last three years is pathetic. He'll show good for a round and then completely lose it. His round one win over Gulbis doesn't yield much for me as Gulbis puts forth about as much effort as a day shift stripper on a Tuesday afternoon. Bogo was solid in his opener and seems to be a legit player on this surface now at this level. Serve figures large here. Indoors, I'd give Llodra an edge, but his outdoor hard court record indicates his struggles with the conditions at-times [49% win rate]. Bogo needs a strong start, but if he can get that, he should outlast Llodra.
Parlay: Zheng + Kirilenko [-106] Zheng gets Vinci and it looks to be a good spot for the Chinese player. Zheng has shown excellent early this season with the Auckland title and a quick bashing of American Madison Keys in her opener. Vinci had no issues in her opener, but the surface is largely a .500 proposition for her career-wise. Zheng meanwhile has shown the ability to thrive on hard courts when healthy which she appears to be here. Kirilenko draws Wozniak who has never really matched up against the better players on this surface. Kirilenko got a nice confidence booster by whipping Gajdosova in her opener. Her serve was solid and that is what she needs to start with today. Wozniak was solid in a win over Zhange, her first in the main draw here in Melbourne in five tries. Kirilenko normally shapes up nicely against players less talented than her on this surface. That is the case here and holy hell, she looks good.
Ito +145 Ito v. Mahut here. Ito was good enough against Starace to pass, while Mahut beat a pretty average performance from Stepanek. What sticks out to me here with Mahut is losses to Duckworth and Hanescu in two matches to start this year and his record at ATP level events on the surface isn't outstanding. Those two losses indicate he can be had. Ito is a crafty player who could make life interesting for Mahut today.
Pavlyuchenkova-King Over 20.5 [-115] The Russian seems to make life interesting with her double faults and impotent 2nd serve. King is a good grinder who has played Pavlyuchenkova tough a couple times, beating her once. King has greatly improved from being known as a doubles specialist to a pretty solid singles player capable of pulling off the upset. Don't know if she gets it done here, but she should push well enough to give the over a look.

I like Stephens with the spread at +6.5, not sure she is experienced enough to trouble Sveta for an outright win. Weather also much cooler now, so fading her and the heat angle really isn't an option any more. Fading her inconsistent play certainly could be.
I don't want any part of that Errani-Petrova match. All things being equal, Petrova should smash her if she's right. Errani sucks on this surface, but of course Petrova is Russian = untrustworthy.

Cool. It's +6 (+130) at my book. I might take a stab at it after I see how some of these other early matches are shaping up.
Thanks for the input.

Bogo started alot of the controversy of the players strike with his tweet, the move to russia , divorcing that hot mama Ashley Harkleroad. Maybe its all catching up to him.
Maybe the stress of losing Ashley got to him.LOL
He may be able to rally, he is not a quitter usually.

Did not see 100%, but fairly certain that he may have quoted the heat as a factor. Honestly at least losses like Bogomolov here are easier to take. Never in the match, so you can just toss it in the toilet and move on.
