Very surprised at stosurs mental strength after blowing the 2nd.i think now she has the total package.That matcg vs janko might still have her as a dog..!! ALL over it EP!!

She's shown good bounce back ability all tournament long. That match against De Los Rios, she somehow lost the 1st set and then crushed the girl 6-1, 6-0. Comes back yesterday from losing a flat opening set to Henin. Not that I think the win against Serena is any better than the one against Henin, but if you don't respect this girl on clay ... you will lose.

I doubt she will be a dog against Jankovic. Bookies will be looking for the public to pound her now after she beat the odds on favorite in Henin & the #1 player even if it's her worst surface. I think Stosur will be a slight favorite to open. If she's a dog, would pound that early and HUGE. Stosur-Jankovic should be a good one. Janks had great defense. Stosur's serve though I think is the difference maker.

Things I THINK I Know ... Thursday, June 3rd

Down to the nitty gritty at Roland Garros on the WTA side with the semifinals. #1 pits Elena Dementieva against Francesca Schiavone. Both are definitely surprise semifinalists as Dementieva had little to back her being a threat for a run here and Schiavone has never made a Slam semifinal until this year. Russians generally get a shot at the finals here with a Russian making the final pairing at the French Open in 4 of the last 6 years dating back to Dementieva's finals appearance here in 2004. Getting Dementieva at slightly better odds [+100] seems quite tasty, I THINK. Dementieva has an experience edge at this stage of a Grand Slam although some will mark that her experience has not always been positive. Still, I THINK there isn't much pressure on Dementieva to advance here as no one expected here to make it this far and Schiavone will get more press for beating Wozniacki to get here. In Dementieva though, she faces a different opponent who I THINK can provide a better test for the Italian with some offensive weaponry. The serve yips may provide some anxious moments, but getting a better price for the better player + Syndicate rules that a Russian needs to be in the final ... I THINK let's get Dementied again!

The other semi is Stosur vs. Jankovic. Everyone on the planet is on Stosur here and I did have Stosur advancing to the finals here when I broke down the brackets. Something though is stuck in the back of my mind from pulling the trigger on the Aussie here. This is the 3rd trip to the French semis for the Serb with her record at 1-1 in the previous trips. It all starts with her serve and surprisingly, Jankovic has served well in 3 of her 5 matches here. She offered 16 break opps in the two games when she did not serve well and saved just 5 of those, but she made up by converting 12 of 22 break opps from her opponents, crushing their 2nd serves. Stosur's 2nd serve has been solid all tournament long, but if you look at their head-2-head that was a deciding factor in the losses Jankovic inflicted on her the 1st three times with Stosur serving well in their last meeting in March on hard courts. I dunno. I've thought about this a bit more and I THINK this is going to be a battle. I will probably just avoid it, but somewhere in the back of my head ... I have a thought that Jankovic at plus money could potentially pull this out. Jankovic has that crazy ability to break her opponent back even if she flops on her own serve. Stosur had to work extra hard against Serena and that could have knocked her back a tad. Jankovic maybe? Crazy, I know.

I don't think you're crazy about JJ at all. It's a 3 set and over bet for me and now that I've slept on it, I'm undecided on picking a side in this one. May just stay away from it and watch what should be a great match. Best of luck EP

Nothing fancy on Friday. Berych-Soderling OVER 3.5 sets at -185. IF bet on that to go for Nadal-Melzer UNDER 28.5 at +100 if it wins. Good luck.

6-4, 6-3, 6-3 would get it done. Even if set 1 goes 7-5 or even 7-6, Nadal can roll through the next 2.

Dont watch it,it doesnt make any difference on the bet.Go see a movie,walk the dog, bang the wife or you sig other. I learned my lesson a long time ago and I dont stress about that stuff anymore.

I pretty much did the same although Berdych 3-2 was my largest bet and Soderling 3-2 was pretty small with Berdych 3-1 in the middle. I added to my Berdych ML in live betting though at +220 so hopefully he gets it done.
