#1406THINKING about Ginepri at +169 tomorrow over Querrey. Querrey said he was burned out on tennis when he got rolled by Ginepri at the French Open. He said that the five weeks he chose to play over in Europe during the clay swing really wore him down. So the question would be has a couple weeks back at home and then heading back to Europe for the grass courts changed his mindset? Querrey isn't usless on grass, but outside of his big run at Newport last year - he's a sub .500 type on grass. Ginepri already has one match under his belt. Definitely see no point in taking Querrey at nearly -200. Ginepri seems to be a good groove no matter the court surface right now.Comment -

#1408WEDNESDAY
LEVINE +225
Llodra has the big serve, but he also doesn't have a great grass pedigree in recent times. Levine was up and down on grass in 2009 and has a couple wins over lesser opponents on grass in three tries this season. Thing I like most about Levine is his fight. Kid has been doing mostly Challengers this year and hasn't really done a lot, still Llodra is one of those guys who goes from looking unstoppable in one match to total shit in the next. If this was a hard court, Llodra at -265 would be a fine price to parlay. On grass? I'll take my chances that Levine is competitive.
PARLAY: FISH + HEWITT [-129]
Fish draws Giraldo, a clay court specialist. Fish looked solid yesterday with a big serve. If he keeps that up, I think he stands a good chance to take out Giraldo in straights. Hewitt has always been really good on this surface and while de Bakker is a talent, he has little experience on this surface. de Bakker struggled some against a qualifier yesterday, so expect the experienced Aussie to show him the door in a competitive affair.
No totals available.Comment -

#1409After thought by the way, gonna pass on Ginepri. I would play him over Querrey, but something started sticking in the back of my head about this one and so I shall pass. Go Ginepri though because I know people are gonna be on him.Comment -

#1415EP do you know why A.Murray/J.Murray +100* vs M.Fish/M.Knowles
is +100 for the murray bros on their home turf? I didn't research this match but I was hoping you TB or Shari can give me a solid reason why.

#1416Knowles is a doubles only guy and had a very solid year in 2009 with a different partner. Fish & Knowles have partnered up already a few times this year with decent results. Andy Murray rarely plays doubles. Jamie Murray usually has a different partner and they really did not do much on the ATP level. Look at a lot of their doubles wins - they're at Challenger events. Looks appropriately priced to me.Comment -

#1421I've only bet doubles a couple times myself and had mixed results. Very hard to predict, unless you know the best teams and follow their results. Even then it's a crap shoot, I remember the Bryans losing as huge favorites in a smaller tournament in the Spring and I think they lost again as -300 or better favorites after that. Then again, they seem to be a bit more of a "name" than one that has produced results this year in the past few months.
Let's go Levine! Just hoping it's competitive with Llodra, although all the money went on Llodra who was up to a -320 favorite last time I checked this morning, so I could have had Levine at +260 if I waited - but took it at +225.Comment -

#1428Ones that stand out for Thursday:
Kohlschreiber -300/ F.Lopez -153 [PARLAY]
Becker +125
Will research some tonight, but Kohlschreiber is solid at this tournament and should find the going easier if his opponent isn't swapped pre-match again. Lopez over Benneteau looks nice. F.Lo has the better serve and has shown a decent prowess on grass. Becker against Davydenko. Books obviously think Donkey-do isn't going to do anything special here. Also recall Becker beat him in straights at Wimbledon before. Would like a higher price, but I honestly think it might get bought DOWN.Comment -

#1430THURSDAY
PARLAY: KOHLSCHREIBER + F.LOPEZ [+108]
Start with Kohlschreiber in a tournament he plays very well at more often than not. He draws Chuidinelli who has some talent, but on this surface is an unproven commodity with just 30 lifetime matches on grass. Most of those have come in qualifying for tournaments as well, so being in the main draw is a bit new to the Swiss. He pumped out 12 aces and 7 double faults in an uneven three set win over Rochus in his opener. Kohlschreiber's opener is a little misleading as he struggled to win in 3, but it came against a last minute replacement for his 1st round opponent. Kohlschreiber was very solid on-serve and needs more of the same to win here. His last three tourneys at Halle, he has made it to the semis or further. Chuidinelli may keep it close for a set, but the German should advance. Lopez is the other half for me and he's the kind of guy who gives a guy like Benneteau trouble on this surface. If you look at the Frenchman's losses on grass, they have often come against guys with big serves. Lopez fits that bill as his serve was unflappable in his opener, winning 90% on first serves and almost 70% of the points on 2nd. Another performance like that should give Lopez a chance to advance.
BECKER +115
Small play on this because it worries me that the books have this one set perfectly with Becker as only a small underdog. That shows me that Davydenko's form is still a question and his ability on grass is also not fantastic. Consider that 7 of Davydenko's 8 wins on grass since 2000 have come at Wimbledon, that leaves his record on the surface in other tournaments at 1-15! Becker had 17 aces yesterday and if he serves well like that again, he has a legit shot here. He must jump on Davydenkos' 2nd serve which was the weakest part of his game upon return from injury here at Halle.
Don't see totals again, would be interested in Murray-Fish on the OVER side of life if it's at around 21.5. With Fish's serve though it might be set higher at 23. If Fish's serve continues to work, he can keep the match tight with Murray, although the Brit should ultimately win a tight 2 setter or potentially a 3 setter.Comment -

#1434Looking at the Federer-Falla total at 18.5. Fed won routinely against Nieminen in his opener 6-4, 6-4. Fed knows Falla's game well as they met in the French Open this year. In looking at Falla, he's not altogether poor on grass. He doesn't win against the bigger names, but he has been competitive if his serve is solid. I think the OVER has a shot here with a 6-4, 6-3 scoreline.Comment -
