I fell into the Donkey-denko trap last week after the Russian cake walked in the opening round of Hamburg and then fell to Golubev in round 2. Sure, Golubev played some solid tennis, but the Donkey has yet to prove he can put together two straight solid matches since returning from his broken wrist. Chela certainly is capable on clay of giving anyone a fight. He's struggled a little against Bolelli, but ran away with the 3rd set. In looking at this dirt results this year, even when he's lost for the most part he has either taken a set off his opponent or played two tight sets. Rule #1, never trust Russians. We'll see if Chela can at least keep this competitive and cover the handicap.

I think Chela has a small chance to win straight up if the Donkey struggles with consistency today, feel better though with the handicap. I always love JCF, but I'm a little troubled by his form in the past two tournaments. He's really struggled quite a bit. Dolgopolov has talent, so I don't know. He proved healthy enough in that last round when we all thought he might be hampered. I think JCF should win, but I would not be shocked if he lost either.

This might have been just come down to reality set for Melzer. Only reason why I think he slapped Hajek was revenge for his little brother who that idiolizes him. He lost to Hajek earlier i think.

Lets hope Melzer wakes up here for you.

.....yeah too bad i didnt have the guts to do it....

i guess better safe then sorry...if davydenko was up a set i would have been happy about the +4 rather than ML.....so +4 was safer i guess

chela makes the same mistake over and over again....letting davydenko come in to the net....i noticed most of the points davydenko won was when he approached the net.......the drop shots from chela only make davy approach the net more.....ahhhhhhhhhhh....chela should stick with his strong forehands and backhands

Late hunch play here. JCF just hasn't looked quite right the last couple of weeks with his serve struggling at times. Dologpolov will need his A game though, but I have a hunch this is going to potentially go the distance.

It's either gonna look real good or JCF is going to crush him. I just don't see Ferrero in good enough form though so long as Dolgopolov is healthy enough.

yeah....i see the entire board likes dolgopolov...so there is something in dolgopolov i just dont see...plus i realized my bias....i was absolutely amazed by ferrero the last match and i have a thing against dolgopolov.....so good thing im staying away....hope dolgo pulls through for u

Had him as part of that failed parlay, I think I'd just go money line. Ljubicic will have had some time to rest, but I just can't see him playing well when he was pretty poor this morning and on-court for so long.

Any opinion on Starace vs Ljubicic? Starace has been alright but playing against lowly competitors. Ljubicic has been stinking it up lately and hasn't played for 3 weeks. He is the hoometown guy though. Who would you lean?
