ANDREEV +228 Couple reasons to give this a quick go. Baghdatis' motivation here is a question mark. I personally think he can use New Haven to improve his fitness, but he may also be content with grabbing a paycheck and resting up for the US Open. Andreev has always played well at this tournament and already has a match with court conditions under his belt against Clement. If Baghdatis comes to compete, he should win this - maybe not with ease - but should win this. Anything less than 100% though and the Russian has a realistic shot.

Eagles whats happening? Do you like Dent or Blake later tonight? Blake I am up in the air about but Dent seems like a great play here. Robredo is limping in having lost five of his last 6 matches. Dent has the crowd behind him and his big serve. I like it

Hey Staco. I can't back Blake once he's a favorite unless he proves he can be consistent. Dolgopolov is a pretty solid player. I really would like to play Dolgopolov, but something about this match is keeping me off it. Blake somehow has already become the public darling play of this week. Probably agreed on Dent-Robredo. Hard to find anything to like about Robredo's game on hard courts this year. Dent's only problem is those double fault yips that crop up.

Bellucci wins the 2nd set tie break and the total will cash if they finish playing out the string in the 3rd.
Andreev
Had double break point on Baghdatis and couldn't cash, gets broken the next game. I think Baghdatis could play in a wheelchair and win today.

DOLGOPOLOV-BLAKE OVER 23.5 [+100] Will not partake in a side here because the lines and movement really want to make me vomit in someone's oraface. However, going with the uneven play in this one. Dolgopolov has proven in a short time on hard courts this summer that he can be productive and competitive. I'm not going to read anything into Blake's match with Riba yesterday othan than Riba sucks ass on hard courts. With this being a "big" tournament for Blake and his fans, I do expect him to try and put on the best showing possible. How good that is, is the question. I think with the uneven play from Blake and the Ukrainian still learning on this surface, we could be in for a thrilling 3 set match. Both guys have the capability of absolutely crushing their serve and dominating with it or flaking out and getting broken like a WTA player. That's my play here to finish off the night.

Blake-Dolgopolov will be 2nd up on stadium court tomorrow morning, around 12pm ET. Shit ton of matches tomorrow.
DOUBLES PLAY: KUBOT-MARACH -125 Kubot & Marach got back on-court for the first time since Wimbledon at Cincinnati and looked solid in going 2-1, losing in the semis. They face the team of Lindstedt-Tecau who are just 2-4 during the summer hard court swing. Both teams are better suited to clay, but I'm going to side with the duo that has been together for a long time and has a solid track record.

If you have to use that "value" term which I hate, in my opinion any time Blake is MINUS anything in price, there is none.

PETROVA/MATTEK-SANDS OVER 21.5 [-107] Petrova has been so up & down during this summer hard court swing that taking the over seems prudent here. Of the four matches she completed this summer, all four have gone three sets. In the other, she retired down 7-5 & 5-3 in a match that would beat this number in the right direction if she had completed it. Mattek-Sands has been playing some decent tennis in the past weeks, testing Clijsters in Montreal and winning easy here in her opener against Dulgheru. With Petrov'as roller coaster ways and the American in reaonsably decent form, I think the over has a shot here.

With all these rain delays, can see a lot of better guys just wanting to get to NY. If there's another downpour today I think we might see quite a few tanks.

Could be...He killed the WC 6-1,6-1 last round and with a day rest now..Maybe not?
Thinking of an Istomin/Golubev parlay...I think both guys are motivated here to gain some points and momemtum for the Open...

Value's a good word when applied mathematically to a bet ie X has value in the price because the books have overvalued ranking and h2h in an early round match.
However if one is just looking at a line and seeing 'value', they're going to get screwed.

DE BAKKER +120 I tipped de Bakker as a potential semifinalist in New Haven this week and potentially more than that, so I'm going to follow my gut like the old signature says and take him to beat Mayer today. The price seems a little "too good" but I'm thinking it is because of de Bakker's lack of experience on this surface in getting deep into tournaments, so I won't throw it out because of that factor. The thing I like for de Bakker here is that his serve is a major weapon when it's working. Mayer's does not seem to have the same bite from match-to-match. de Bakker has been a little unfortunate in his draws on hard courts this summer that his 2nd round encounters have featured the likes of Roddick, Monfils and Isner. Today, he gets his best shot at getting that elusive 2nd win in a hard court tourney. If he gets his 1st serve in well, I think he can win today.
