There is chatter that Haase picked up an injury during his less than stellar match against Klizan. Anybody hear this?

He hurt his shoulder at the end of the first set... Didn't look like he could put any power with it, but it's not like he has any power anyway.

My guess is if he does attempt to play.. He won't make it past the first set

Well I saw it, and it looked liked muscular fatigue more than anything. He had some sensual homoerotic massage during an MTO. I doubt it's an injury but it certainly could affect him.

Monte Carlo is eating us alive. If it weren't for Kohlschreibers comeback id be down a 5 spot in the first 2 days.

I don't think anyone did too well today on this board! As the tourney progresses hopefully we gauge the players better and haul that mulah.

I may go more for totals the next few days myself and try my hand at those. Although a couple I looked at today probably would have been losers too.

It's not so bad. My Andujar @ 11 (+1000) after 1:st had me pretty down for a while after that finish. :/

Not often Nole chokes serving one out, so getting a push works alright since he broke right back. Better than a loss.

Easy Cheddar. Wishing I would have gone with my gut to take a shot at the Slovaks to win over Russia at good odds. Felt the Russians had plenty of questions, but was tough to know how they would all do on clay. Oh well, I'll take my W.

    Mini-preview for Barcelona.

    ATP Barcelona

    Ferrer Quarter
Ferrer should benefit from taking a breather as he enters Barcelona as the top seed that looks like it should once again find a Spaniard in the winning position come the Final. I don't particularly see anything troubling for Ferrer in this quarter. Kohlschreiber is the seed on the other side along with Klizan who has turned his play up some in recent weeks. Still, both are notches below Ferrer. Ferrer's QF match-up with one of those guys will likely be his biggest test. Bellucci might be a fade special in his 1st match, especially if the young Spaniard sneaks in. Otherwise, this quarter looks unappetizing.

    Almagro Quarter
Almagro is a guy who always seems to turn it up a notch for this tournament. An early exit last week gave him extra prep time and rest, so I am expecting a good showing from him. He's got some trickier players early with Bedene and fellow Spaniard Granollers in his way to the quarters. In the other half of this quarter, Monaco & Chardy are the seeds. Lorenzi & Rufin in the 1st round is a bit interesting and the winner gets Chardy - an upset wouldn't be a total shocker. This looks like Monaco's slot to the quarters, but his play has been up and down - so it's not a given. Will be surprised if Almagro isn't waiting for Ferrer in the semis.

    Berdych Quarter
This one should have a lot of topsy-turvy stuff going on. Berdych leads the charge in his part of the quarter, but could see Robredo or Dimitrov in the 3rd round where an upset again would not be shocking. Raonic is the seed to lead the top half. While I'm not overly keen on his clay game, his half of the quarter has enough question marks where he could get through to the quarters. Stepanek v. Gulbis in the 1st round should be interesting with the winner getting Verdasco. With as poor as Verdasco has been, not expecting "home" cooking to play much of a role here. I think this quarter looks the more likely to spring a surprise semifinalist. If Berdych is shaky, Robredo or Dimitrov might swoop in.

    Nadal Quarter
Rafa lost his stranglehold at Monte Carlo with a finals loss to Djokovic. But let's get real, it's not like losing to the top ranked player is something to be ashamed of. I though Rafa still showed some weaknesses with his serve last week that were exposed in the final. He's been given a good draw in Barcelona. He shouldn't break a sweat until the quarters where Nishikori, Janowicz or Ramos might be waiting. I'm expecting Nadal to bounce back from that finals loss and not skip a beat early. Even if his game is a bit below 100% vintage Nadal, it's good enough to win this quarter. Ramos is the one guy I am looking forward to in this quarter. Young guys like Zemlja and Paire should also make the earlier rounds at least watchable/bettable.

Rafa is too steep @ -300. I'd much rather go after Ferrer @ +450 and Almagro @ +1000 could yield a good tradout at the right time for some profit. Hard time not seeing Nadal in the Final, but I think Ferrer or Almagro could make it a good one depending on their level of play this week.
